What a way to do some constructive work alone. Today was not a day as expected. I woke up late and decided to go school late too. So while preparing to leave home, the skies changed for the worst and i found myself trapped at home. Looking out of my window, i can see the usual flood around my area. Just a stone throw away, there is the construction site. There are a lot of bangladeshi workers there. Since it was flooding, they wade their way around the site. My form of seeing bangla workers swimming in Singapore. So trapped in my home, i decided to stay home and use my computer to type all the reports that i need to do. Home was not a really good place to do work. I have alot of distraction around me. My PS2, my Hi-Fi, the kitchen, etc. Why the kitchen you would ask... While i like to cook once awhile, sometimes when im hungry, i would think of crazy things to cook up and try. So today i did something intresting. I took my leftover spiral pasta and a can of campbell meal soup. Mixed them together to make my lunch. Added some carrots and brocholli to supply my veggie intake. Voila!! I created another dish. Haha... Not bad, tasted rather nice. But a tad salty as it was still canned soup. After lunch, i continued back to my computer. Sat there to type finish all that was required. Another 2 weeks and i need to submit the report. Type type type... For 3 straight hours, i was typing away. Finally i complete what im suppose to do. Then i went to watch tv as i have not been spending time with it. Than something miraculous happen, tv was showing Garfield!! The Garfield i like so much. So i took some biscuits and sat there for 30mins watching the cartoon. But i realise that not the entire cartoon is about Garfield. There was this section where another not so famous comic characters that was drawn by Jim Davis (Garfield comic creator) too. So when it show that, i was like turned off. After the end of the cartoon, i went back to my room and continued to type my life away. Type and type... Im like those clerk in office working, but in a more comfortable zone. After that, i ate dinner. Rested awhile, enjoyed some timeout. Played some games using my PS2. I do not know what hit me, but i had this urge to swim. Yes!! At night... So i went swimming. The water was bloody cold. Felt like shivering when i came out of the pool. After bathing, i connected back with my computer and i started to chat with my frens.
Today was a little longer than usual. Today alot of things happen that was not the usual. Hate doing the usual things. Like going school in the morning and coming back home late. Im used to the life but i really like to do things that is always changing. I take everyday as a challenge. Everyday have something new for me to try, something new for me to eat, someone new to meet, someone new to see. If it is the same things over and over again. Im afraid i might not be able to take it. Hope in future, i have something new to do everyday. Something that won't bore me for long.
Feel so homely...

Life Support Machine
Nothing much happened today. Except i wasted most of my time in school when i can use it else where more fruitfully. Morning was rather sunny. It had sunshine written all over Singapore. Furthermore, i wore a black shirt and a cap. The cap would block the sun. But the black shirt was something wrong. That is because my room were covered up by the curtain. Anyways... I took the bus and headed for school. Had to walk a big round like what i did last semester. Hated doing that. Its a very long walk and i waste precious time. Attended lesson just on time again. But the worst thing happened during lesson time. THE AIR-CONDITION BROKE DOWN!! Lesson carried on in a sauna. After lesson, i went on with the day and went to do one of my project. Stayed in the lab for quite sometime. I even skipped lunch to do the project. Through hunger i endured and completed the assignment. After that, i went to meet my friends. Since i did not have lunch, i told them to join me for lunch. While walking to the foodcourt, we walked past this buffet table. The buffet was intended for the business student. But, as Singaporeans, we just walked over, took the plates and forks and got ourselves a couple plateful of food. Settled my lunch. Thanks to all the SB people. Since it was raining, i decided to go to the computer lab to entertain myself there. Spent around an hour plus there watching flash projects. Lab closed soon after. I was suppose to meet my sister for dinner. In the end, she had to do something important. Our dinner date just went up in smoke like fire touching water. It was rather sad for me, so i went home alone. All alone... Lonely...
The project datelines are getting closer and closer. Im getting stresser and stresser. My FYP project is at some standpoint where i can take it easy. But now i have to concentrate more on the other projects. I do not know how long will we take to finish the rest of them. But i do hope to finish them all as soon as possible. Today i got my exam dates too. I have one at October 6, the last one will be at November 2. I think im going to waste my time during the exam period. Study for my SAT, study for the final exam and also attend lessons for my driving. Not even close to that stage and im packing it. Guess im preparing not to get bored.
Life is sad...

Heavy Heavy Day
Today was not the usual stressful day. It was a day filled with tiredness, boredom, stress and laughter. As usual, woke up early in the morning for school. Went school and attended the lesson on the dot. Just came in when the lecturer started his lesson. Sat down and listened to what he have to say. Having test next week. Not sure whether to score for this or just do it for the sake of it. Breakfast was taken during his lesson. As usual. During our lunch break, i stayed in the lab and played some games. Lunchtime was assigned too early for us. So i pushed back to later. Went up to my lab to continue my project. I sat down and reviewed on what we have done and what we still need to do. I realised that we have done most of it but left with all the difficult parts. It was really stressful to look into every problem when you have not even solved your own. One momment im looking at this page, analyzing the error. The next momment, i helping the other to explain the logic and the coding material. When i got back to my desk, i only had a few minutes of thinking for my problem. Before i can come up with any solution, im being called upon again. Im like so... ARGHZ!! Keep losing my track of thoughts. I wonder when i led this team, did i sink myself into something that would make myself commit suicide. The guys left early and i sat a little longer to think of my problem. But by that time, im totally exhausted and unable to think anymore. I sat there, blankly looking at the screen. Totally lost. I couldn't take it anymore, i shut down my com and left for home. On my way home, i realised that there is a perimeter fence made up. I have enjoyed the shortcut since the start of the school. Now they are going to fence up the area and i have to walk around it. It sucks to the core...
Being a leader, something that is quite normal for me. I have taken up numerous leadership roles in this lifetime. Being a leader is not easy. Able to keep the teammates together to work for the common goal is a skill that combines alot of different skills together. Are you able to practice tact to keep the members happy. Are you able to think faster and logically before committing to any move suggested by the team members. Are you able to oversee their actions. Are you able to let them keep the glory when the team succeed and take all the blame when everything fail. I have tried. I have experienced all. I can tell you, being a leader is not a good thing. This society reward the leaders. If you are a good leader, you will be rewarded. But i realise something, when you receive the award, you must be able to withstand even more responsibility. Being a leader is stressful and tiring enough, being an awarded leader is even worse. You got to live up to the award expectations... Else you will be branded a fake.
Tired of leading...

One Country, Many Leaders
Nothing much today, today's entry is a special one. Im going to tell a story. A story of a country. A summary of what i did today will be here. So do not worry. Morning went school, first to arrive. Start work on project. Had breakfast. Continue with project. Ate lunch. Back to Project. Finished my assigned tasks of the day. Went to have dinner with friends. Went home. Now back to the story. It is quite long so go get yourself a cup of water and for some, go get your reading glasses. You might need it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A long time ago, there was this mass big vast of land. All the people lived happily. All the people worked towards a common goal. They were happy. They were prospering. And soon, the elected their leader. This leader was tall. He had a good support. He helped his people. But because he committed too much to a section of the country, one part of the country suffered. It started only a little, but as time goes by... The section weakened. When the current leader was old, the people of the country had no choice to elect this leader. This new leader was chosen by the old one's companinion. The companions' each had a few candidates, but they narrowed down to one. A election was done. Finally, a new leader was born. But to help him, they also chose a couple of good companions to assist him.
As the land was in good condition, many other people came to join this land. Hoping to ride on the wealth the country have build up. So after accepting all the new immigrants, the old man stepped down for the younger leader to come up. But this leader was not as committed as the previous one. It was the strong supporters that kept the country going. They supported each other and carreid on the daily stuff the country. The pervious leader, with three other companion came back to help this supporters. They knew that the leader was not doing anything and they cannot see this group suffering. Without them, the supporters will never survive. The supporters boycott the leader and seldom listen to him. Since he did not sacrifice for the country, why should his views be heard. So when they held discussions, he gave excuses and did not attend any of it. The supporters were tired and they were looking for successors. So they picked a few young ones to be the future leaders. This time, they decide that they shall not make the same mistake as the previous leadership. The older generation of leaders, who are still enthusiastic about their role in the country, started to help this upcoming leaders. But they chose to meddle too much in their affairs. Such that, the young ones do not like them. And they think that the supporters are with them too. So they did their own stuff. Without consulting the ones with experience and knowledge. Without much experience and they think so highly of themselves, they have walked right into a trap they have created. The supporters wanted to help, but they got rejected everytime they offeredtheir services. It was a very hard lesson for them to learn.
It was time for the supporters to resign and allow the new leadership to come up. The supporters have chosen a few to take up important ranks. Those who were not given a rank retreated and joined the old ones. The old ones because of this incident, did nothing to care about the land. Whether it wither to death or it burned to the ground. They do not care. They left the country and vowed never to come back again. The supporters, who resigned from leadership, assigned themselves to be advisors of the country. They call themselves the Vanguards. They dedicate themselves to assist these young leaders. When they have doubts, they are there for them. But there is a clause, these Vanguards are not allowed to make any decision. The young leaders are to make the decision. Ever since the new leaders were chosen, the Vanguards were in place, the country was not the same as before. A portion of the country followed the ways of the old ones. They disregard the young leaders. But this was just the minority. The rest of the country was follwed the rule of these young leaders. The young leaders with a good lesson learnt, knew that experience should not be ignored. Advices had to be heard, hand to be asked for. This is what the Vanguards hoped for...
This is near the end of the story. From a happy, fun loving country of people that worked together. They have been through quite some rough winds together. They seen leaders rise and they seen leaders fall. Those that follow close to how the leaders work, knew their hardship and their sacrifices. Those that do not know, listen to stories that is passed down by word of mouth. Now the country have seperated. Vanguards were banded together to provide insight on problems. The old ones started out serving the country. They resigned to their fate and ran away from the problems when things do not go their way. This country, this once happy and peaceful country, when will they be the same again. Will they ever be pieced back together... As some people say... This is story have ended and that is another story.
Revival of the Blog
After 3 days of leave for the blog, it is time to revive it once again! I decided to rest it as currently im having holidays from school. And what i usually do are just go school and continue my FYP project. Nothing much happens around when im doing my project. Just stay in the lab and do coding all the time. Boring eh... Well... That is all that happen most of the time during this holiday week. But today i had something special. My teammate's birthday. We prepared a cake and some 'extra' for fun. He had a surprise so our plan was kinda taken out nicely. Had whipped cream on plate and thrown all around. He got quite alot on himself... So it was rather fun. But i had all the cleaning up to do. Since we thrashed the place, we shall keep it clean. After that ate our cake and went back to our lab to continue project. Left really really late.
I realise that when u start something that you do daily, once you stopped, you will feel that something is missing. When i stopped the blogging for 3 days, when i sleep i have this thing bugging me to write my blog. Since i have set to rest it for 3 days, i shall keep to it. So tonight i definitely must write an entry. Feels good to come back to keep a page of my life history in this blog. That way, when i lose those precious memories, at least i have this place to read up. Just make sure i don't forget my username and my password...
I am back!!!
Stress 17:0 Life
Yeah... My life is now filled with stress and tiredness... Really hope to finish this and skip this stressful part as soon as possible. Morning i had nothing much. Took my time to wake up. Watched TV and slowly picked my clothes. Even sat down and think whether should i bring any coins to school!! Haha... After that, i met my Welfare Officer for breakfast. I was late, I have to abmit.The bus was late, not me. I waited like 20mins for it. Usually the bus will arrive every ten minutes, this time it was late so i sat in the hot sweltering sun for the bus. So in the end, the lateness dragged to her. Felt really sorry to be late. But at least she waited for me. Got to thank her for that. When we went to get our food, my Logistics Head came and told me that we are not allowed to keep flamable stuff in the clubroom. Man, i was shocked. The next he told me is, when caught having flamable stuff in the clubroom, it will be a revoke of the clubroom and we have to bear all the responsibility. That means i will have a club without a clubroom. Well... At least they settled it. After lunch, i read up on my work. Have to do some reading so that i can contribute to the project later on. Don't like this feeling where i only nod my head while the others just keep commanding me what to do. So i must have a lead on what to do. That way, i can contribute more to the project. When i got bored of all the reading, i went to my lab to join my teammates to continue my project. I am still stuck at that error. I do not know what error it is... But im just stuck there. I guess it is some stupid error that i still cannot find. I hope that i can make it quick and get it done as soon as possible. After that, i went home alone.
Today stress have scored another goal against life. I wonder when will life score one for me? When will i ever beat stress?? In school, i feel the stress. But when im home, the stress level seem to drop and i feel much better. I will talk with my friends and just let loose my mind. Let it rest after the day's tiring work. I guess friends are the only thing that stress will never conquer. They are the ones that help you beat stress and win the battle over stress. I wonder, those that without much friends, what do they usually do? I heard that some just stay at home and do practically nothing. I wonder how do they enjoy life? I should not care so much about them. To each his own. Different people will have different way of thinking about life. Enjoying about life. Just take life as a path filled with obstacles and pit holes. Friends are just tools that make these obstables easier to overcome and pit holes simpler to come out of.
I need you...
Another Boring Chapter
Life is always boring on wednesday. Good thing i know how to entertain myself. Woke up early for school. No more construction noises to wake me up. Furthermore, when i left my home, i saw a couple of th workers using the slicing machine to cut the tarmac of the road. If they were to do it in the morning before i wake up, i think those Bangladeshi workers will turn from black skin to red skin. Arrived 15mins late for the lecture. Although i was not the latest, i was one that have arrived. The lecture was pathetic. Around 20 students, only seven turned up. So... Not something new to me, not something new to the lecturer anyway. Must be something wrong, somewhere... Anyway, i attended the lesson and continued my day. Later, i received news from another lecturer that school lessons will be off on Thursday and Friday. WOO HOO!! Finally some time off before the start of the term break. But that does not mean i do not have to do my project. I guess this gives me more time to do my project and allow me to rest my mind. After all the lessons were done ang gone, i accompanied my friend to the guild house. My school's guild house, a.k.a. club house. We played bowling there. This was one of the days where we were shocked to see the guild house full and the lanes totally used up. Finally something new... But what amazed me the most was catching Remy Ong, our national SEA Games Gold Medalist bowler. What is he doing there you will ask right? Well, he is coaching some kids, aged around 7-9 years. Im really impressed on the parents. I wonder how much are they paying him to coach two kids for one hour. Some gossip to add on, he drives a BMW Z4. I try and see whether i can get the link to the car, but if you really want to know more about it. Well, i just tell you the price it will cost you to own one of these road speedsters. This car is worth $400k. Close your mouth please... Thank you... After the bowling game, i met up with my sister and we had dinner together. After dinner, i sent her home and i went home on my own.
Im too bored to say anything. Maybe some entertainment would be good for me, something to intrest me when i come home. Something to make me feel busy but still want to do it. Maybe that is something i need to make my life complete. Well... All not complete yet... I still have to find my other half to complete my life fully...
Yawnz Yawnzz Yawnzzz...
Nobody's Perfect...
Another blogger accident happened again. My last entry was erased and the entry was not entered. That part of my life will be gone forever. Maybe it will be put as a bookmark in my life. The missing link in my life. Currently there are two. Hope blogger wont make more missing links. Today was a long day for me. Woke up early and i was thinking whether to skip lesson or not. That lesson is always so boring. Going there is like a chore for me. Did not learn much today either. A two hour lesson is usually playing games on the computer, chatting and listening to music. Not very enjoyable as i can do this comfortably at home. After that, i rotted in the com lab. Playing game this time. Decided to kill a boss before we head back to the usual lab. During lab hours, i sat in the full 4 hours to do my project. No break or lunch break were taken. Must be an achievement for me. When i did what i could for my part, i ended my session in school. Left my teammates there and i accompanied my sis and her friend(Piggy) for dinner. We ate KFC. Piggy ate very less as she is afraid of getting fat. She think she is fat. She don't look fat to us... Maybe its the extra kilo she gained or the extra flab she found near her arms or waist. But to me, she is still the same usual Piggy. Its a long time since my sis and i catched a movie together. So she got a pair of free tickets, she asked me to for a movie date. Haha... We watched a movie titled, The Stepford Wives. Somewhat funny show. Tell more later... After the movie, we set off for home. Accompanied her as long as i could. After that, i took a bus home and enjoyed the night scenery throughout the entire bus trip.
After watching the show, i realise that you cannot force your life partner to be perfect. A loving and homely woman that take care of the children and cleans the home spotless. Some beautiful girls wants to be successful in the career line and manage a family. But her focus will always be her career. The men do not like that and they moved to Stepford. Well... Shall not say much else it will spoil the show. It rang to me that nobody is perfect. You cannot expect your wife to be perfect all the time. She cannot do so many things and perfect in everything. But if she is too perfect, wouldn't it be scary? Lastly, i thought of this while on the bus home. A side proverb that mixes with mathematical equation. Hope you guys can figure it out like me...
Practice makes perfect.
Nobody is perfect.
So why practice?
Happy Teachers' Day...
Go The Distance
Nothing really, just someting that crossed my path of life. More later... Today had a good sleep. Too good a sleep. Overslept by a full hour. My first time since a very long time ago. But i was not the only one. There were some that were late too. But i realise we did not do much today. I spent most of my time at school to solve a problem in our project. Time is slowly getting on us, we are not bucking up and still taking things as lightly and doing things slowly. Maybe as a leader, i see things more up close and feel the dateline getting closer and closer. Hope the rest will understand this and move a little faster. I'm giving them alot of space to retreat and did not pressure them. Know them too well as they do not work best under stress unlike some of my friends that do. Walked around like a zombie in school as it was really tiring to spend four hours solving a stupid error. Hope this does not arise again tomorrow. After that, i took two bus trip to the shopping centre near my place to return a movie i rented during the weekends. Went there and the lady did some marketing and pushed some movies to me. Maybe they experience some fall in revenue. Get somebody like me who does not have much time to watch movies and persuade me to rent one or two. But i thank her for her gesture and told her i wanted another movie. Currently that movie is a hot favourite so its not around, but she will hold on to it and i will collect it on wednesday. I think i get my brother to do the dirty job. Went home soon after. One more thing, i changed my service plan for my phone. The customer service girl was not bad, the service she gave me was a good one. But for a friend of mine, he got more complains than the service he received. Maybe that is something that can be compared among the mobile phone service companies.
Once in awhile, there are reports or stories that says that long distance relationship happening. When it appears to the mass, they are usually the ending of the 'getting-to-know-each-other' period and proceeding to 'geting-married-and-happily-ever-after' period. Some couples just get it along as if they have met since they were born. Some had common intrests so they get together and they got together better and better as time goes by. For me, i never did try such long distance relationship. Once during my secondary school days, my school hosted another Scout group from Malaysia, Sarawak. There were girl scouts and boy scouts coming. It was something new for me as i never hosted any overseas scouts in my life. When we were all sitting in the Auditorium, i saw this girl. She was beautiful. Some people say when men wear their uniform, they look alot better and and more eye catching. I think its true. Just think of it, we are wearing well pressed uniform and have achievements all sewed to our uniform. When you wear it, you feel so proud in it. But for the girl scout, she was captivating. That is my first time i ever see a girl looking so nice in a girl scout uniform. Maybe i was still young and unexperienced. But their stay was short. Took them around for shopping and enjoying. At that time, they came over for a short holiday. But also, they came over as a friendly marketing stinct for their mid-year Jamboree (multi-national Scout camp). Before she left, she asked me whether i will see her again. I told her, i will work hard and work my way there. By hook or by crook, i make sure i will get to see her in her homeland. And that is what i did the following year. I went over to Sarawak and met her there. Maybe its fate, maybe its the scout association there. My campsite is just next to hers. And my tent is just 2 lines of fence away from her. During the 7 days stay there, i chatted with her everynight. One of my most memorable nights i have spent. Left when my stay is up. When we were waiting for our flight at the airport, she came and wished my good luck. And i promised i will contact her as soon as i arrived in Singapore. When i board the plane, the most saddening part was thinking of leaving the place i had so much memories in. So much fun. So much enjoyment. Maybe that is how much i miss the place. That is how much i miss her.
Stuck in Singapore...
Once in awhile, there are reports or stories that says that long distance relationship happening. When it appears to the mass, they are usually the ending of the 'getting-to-know-each-other' period and proceeding to 'geting-married-and-happily-ever-after' period. Some couples just get it along as if they have met since they were born. Some had common intrests so they get together and they got together better and better as time goes by. For me, i never did try such long distance relationship. Once during my secondary school days, my school hosted another Scout group from Malaysia, Sarawak. Another Fruitful Day
Finished what i am suppose to do. Finally... As yesternite was movie nite, i slept very very early. So the next morning i had difficulty in waking up. But all it need was a mental push and up i went to continue my day. Reached school for lesson, man its been quite sometime since i reached the venue early. Thursdays are usually the same, lessons than lunch with my friend. This time more gossip... Would not want to say more, maybe later... Had a fruitful lunch with her. Maybe its the friendship we share and treasure. But i think that she is a good friend to have and lamest entertainer i will ever have. After lunch, we walked back to our area. We seperated when we reached. She left me for another friend. A closer friend. But i do not have any sad feelings or anything. I got my own things to do too. So i walked back to my lab to continue my project. Today completed one of the hardest and most tedious part of my FYP. Had a great deal of satisfaction. After completing that, i went on to do some other stuff. Started on something new. Maybe this will keep me busy for another week or so. Left the school with 2 teammates still doing the work assigned to them. Really appreciate their commitment to the project. I promise, when we have completed our project, i shall give them a treat.
Today i am going to address to something that i think everyone should have. Privacy. To some, privacy can be something intimate, something that they don't want people to know or see. Others think that privacy is being alone and not called for anything. For me, i think that privacy what everyone have but it depends on the limit they set. One privacy i think everyone have but seldom use is the freedom of choice. I have my own choice. I do not have to be forced to take a choice that i don't like. Each of us have a choices to make to make our lives. It is wrong to diss another person's choices. It is like dissing him/her privacy. Even between relationships, there are bound to be a privacy limit. I don't think no relationship would be so opened that they know each other's secret. That would be something written out of a love story and everyone knows that love stories does not happen in this world. Privacy, a small word that means so much. SO DON'T POKE AROUND ANYMORE!! Muahahaha...
Don't Touch Anything!!
Yawnzzz...
Yeah... Today sure is boring... Chose the most boring elective that the school provided. Regrets? Definitely. All wednesdays will be boring for this semester. Finish the day with alot of things on hand to do. Lessons were done and over with. After that i had a compulsory briefing for my ITP (Internship Training Program). After that, i had to attend this student dialogue session where they question me and another person on why do we sign up to SP and not other Polys. Big issue, small and simple answer... Its near my home!! In the end, the whole room that consists of third year students, was only me and her. Funny thing was... They chose to ask us third year students where i have graudated from my secondary school two and a half years ago. Damn funny how SP works... Finished the dialouge session and i went over to the stationery shop to get my ammunition, i mean my pens as i'm running out of it. But the shop keeper said the manufacturer has no stock. Man, this sucks. So i have to depend on other pens again. Maybe one day i may get to use those sort of pens again. Strolled back home and got some R&R.
Less than 10 weeks more before we submit our FYP project. The stress level is rising every second. Even as im going to sleep, my mind is thinking of how to solve such problems. And when i got one, i quickly jot it down on a book. I would forgo sleep and rest for that idea to be written down and rather lose it and spend time thinking again. Sometimes i think too much and later i could not go to sleep. Not a very good way to pass my nights but this is how i operate when in pressure. Some of my friends will know that i don't show the stress out. My face always conceal what im thinking and what im suffering. A good thing or a bad thing... That is for you to find out and for me to know.
Sir!! Incoming Virus at 2 O'Clock!!
Man... Today was another day my com was attacked by viruses. Shouldn't have downloaded any artistic shows... Oopss... Spent the morning at home. A very bad diarrhea. Must be yesternite dinner or supper. Either way, it was unclean or my hands were unclean. Rested at home since i could not move my legs well. But my fingers were still alrite, so i excercised them by playing games on my PS2. Its been awhile since i spent some precious time with it. After some playing, i sat down, again, on my chair and my table. Started to think of ways to do my project. Thinking of ways to solve problems. Even without the screen and the codes, im able to visualise the problem and think of ways to solve it. Well... A 'Code Blueprint' is what i usually called it. When my ass got a little bit better, i went to school to join my teammates to continue our project. Improved on my work, but still a long way to go. Took some time off to have lunch. After that, it was all work and no play. Not even logging into e-Messenger. Work work... All the way till 6.45pm. Went home soon after.
My computer was under virus attack again. This time, my defence did not detect it as the old one crippled it and allow it to bypass my firewall!! Man, this infuriates me. In the end, i had to scan my computer countless times. Search for the virus and delete manually. I even had to restore my system. Did not like what i did. Its a little like operation to my computer. Hate doing that. Almost gave up and wanted to reformat my computer. That will be the worse of the worse to happen. Maybe one day i will do a total backup of my computer to another HDD. That way, my computer is save and my time can be spent on other things.
Damn you viruses...
Vigilante Driver
Simple meaning of the title says it all. Man, this is my first time driving at 70kph!! Haha... Usual morning stuff. No more construction noises. Better sleep. Went to school to start my project work. But realised that there were some technical problems. What a way to start a day!! So i rested and restarted my mood to do work. After some simple use of the computer, my teammates and i went for our breakfast. A long breakfast. We ate like as if nothing is important. Maybe the stress level is not there yet. After breakfast, we stroll our way back to the lab. What a lazy morning it is. Did some coding but not much... Usual monday blues. After that, i went for my final driving lesson of the semester. Finally some sharp turns. Not very good at it yet. Still got some practising to do. But the best part is... I drove outside at 70kph. Highest speed record till date!! Haha... After the driving lesson, i took a slow and winding bus trip back home. A very slow and winding road. But at least i got home in one transportation. Sat infront of my TV and watched some of the Olympics 2004. Track and Field games. Ate lunch late so i try not to eat that much. Watch the Simpsons later and after it ended, i went back to my com. ARGHZ!!! My com is sick!! Took like 3-4hrs to repair it. Finally i got rid of the virus. Im afraid that maybe other viruses will attack soon. Hope it is just the end of the virus attack.
Today while walking to the toilet, i overheard 2 guys talking about our national peddlar, Li Jiawei. Even though she did not win a medal for Singapore, but being 4th of the world is an achievement for her. She did all she could and we should be proud of her. The guys were talking how useless she were to get to the bronze finals and not winning anything back. They were saying how useless she is. Com'on she is ranked fourth in the Olympics. What more could you ask for? Maybe in the SEA games, she will emerge as the Gold Medalist. Im sure she can do it. Have hopes in her. She will be Numero Uno one day. Mark my words, those 2 idiots, she will win a gold medal one day.
Believe in her...
Robots of the world... UNITE!!
The construction site management kept their promise. No 0900hrs, no start work. So i had a quite a good wake up mood. Went to the usual busstop to take my bus to school. Something happened that pissed me off really. Almost lost my cool... I was waiting at the busstop when the bus came. Than the worse of the worse happened... The bloody bus driver just drove off. He stared at me when i stood at the edge of the busstop. At the momment, i almost lost my cool and pointed something at the bus. But i realise that this is Singapore, civilised people will deal with this civilly... Muahahaha... Let me see... Bus number plate, check. Bus number, check. Bus arrival time, check. Hmm... What can i do with all of this? Don't need to say much. In the end, i was late for my lesson and im being marked late. Not worth it... After lessons, i ate lunch with a clubmate. She is now the Welfare Officer. We had lunch and chatted together. Maybe in the future, we will be eating lunch on every thursday. Hope my friends that see me with HER will get MISUNDERSTOOD. Thank you my friends... After lunch, i went back to my computer lab to continue my project. When i walked in, i was shocked!! Where the hell are my teammates? I called one, no pick up. I called another, no pick up also. In the end, i got fed up and sat there and did my own stuff. A few minutes later, one of them called me and apologise. Im not a person that keep grudges long so i accepted his apology and waited for their arrival. Upon arriving, they apologise again and we started our work. No breaks were taken today. No 'makan' breaks that is... Other short breaks were given to them. Its an incentive for them for being so hardworking and really putting effort to complete the project. Around evening time, it was a long and tiring day for them. I can see that their minds were exhausted so i declared end of day for them. I stayed on for a couple more minutes to complete my part of the work. Completed like 50% of the assigned worked. By end of tmr, i shall complete everything. I knock off soon after i closed all the programs that i opened.
Today while having a short break. I decided to browse around for any new robots that i like. Than this monstrosity caught my eye. A huge humanoid robot that carried 2 laser sabres at the back, hung 3 long swords at the each side, attached to left arm are shurikens and flying daggers, to his right is a laser cannon and held in each hand are guns that can blow a new holes for his enemies. I looked at the robot design and im like in awe. But truthfully, how can a robot carry this much stuff?? Just look at the armoury this guy is holding? I wonder how fast can he move? But just looking at the weapons he is holding is a miricle that such a machine can carry that much. But the that thing cost $200 plus... I sure like it, but i think it is too expensive and too unreasonable. I got a few robots currently now sitting and standing in my room. Some people say that im still a child, playing with all this toys. But what i see them are displays. Dreams and visions of the future. One day, maybe one day we can have gigantic robots walking on earth. Not for war but for other purposes like construction, fire fighting and even disaster assistance. But before we enter that age, that era... I shall marvel at the concept designs that are found everywhere and enjoy the art pieces that populate my room.
Human + robot = ???
Boring Boring Boring Day
Today was not a very intresting day. Nothing intresting happened. All was boring and it was one of the boring-est day this week. Woke up with only a few hours of sleep. Very tired but still had to go school for lesson. Frist lesson was boring. Teaches us something that we have learnt during our 1st year. Boring is one big word to describe. After that, i went for other lesons. All were lessons... Some were okie, some were dead boring. After lessons... I went for my lunch. Bored of eating in school. FOr the past 6 weeks... I have been eating breakfast and lunch at school. Bored of it totally... After lunch, i left for home. Did not have much to do either... Catch my favourite Simpsons show and went for a shut eye later.
Same old boring day...
Today was no different form any other day. I spent it in school and nothing much happens as i did the usual, FYP and more FYP. One thing that differs from other days is i wrote another love letter. Written it in class and had it read to the entire class. Was not a very good one, but i expressed my feelings in words. Maybe my words are too difficult to understand. Maybe one day i may write a very good one and give it to the girl im in love with. When i declared its time to knock-off from school and go back to our normal lives, i realised i needed some stationery. So i hopped on a bus and went to the nearest Stationery shop. Must be some luck... I did not find my pens neither did i find my special erasers. But i would not give up, so i took another bus and went to another stationery shop. While on the bus, i met up with a friend. He was on his way to giving tuition at a nearby condominium. We chatted and talked about our diffculties and our fate. I alighted earlier than him. So i continued my hunt for stationery. Alas... I could not find my objective and i ended buying another kind of eraser to reload my erazer (there is a difference!!). Before leaving the building, i went to rent a movie as it has been some time i have seen a good movie. Went in grabbed one and left quickly. Title of the DVD; Big Fish. Yeah, i've seen it before, but its still a great movie. It is one movie that will accompany me through my life and i will remember it. One thing i will always carry with me after watching is that life is as beautiful as each person sees it. No two person sees a thing the same and will articulate totally the same. Some may belt out facts, boring and true. But some, some will weave stories and add magic to them to make them intresting. Whatever the ending is, the main message is get acrossed to the targeted audience.
Fact or Fiction...
Exchange a few days??
Who would like to exchange a few days with me? Would give a million bucks to exchange a few days of R&R... Woke up feeling tired. The mind is willing but the flesh is weak. So i dragged my tired body to the bathroom to wash up. Set off soon after. Went school in a cheery mood. Started work soon after. Had breakfast later and continued to do work. Halfway, i left my group to do another project. Man, another boring project. So we slog it out and quicly cleared it. Went back to my group to continue my work. Had a very frustrating time. Could not pass the hurdle i met. Keep staying at the same point. Didn't know what to do. So i had to shut the com down and went home to rest my brain.
I think a few days of rest would perk me up. Im like always feeling so tired and lethargic. Not only that, i have more and more work piled up on me as each passing day. I can't seem to clear them as i move on. Maybe that is the way or that is the usual lifestyle of a typical Year3. Before you graduate, they force you with all kinds of things and make sure you die of suffocation. After that, they pump you with alot of information and stuff before letting you leave the institution offically. I mean... Is this how our poly grad must go through? It is like a tradition. Every poly student must pass it to be considered a graduate from poly. But one thing you will notice is that we are trained to be able to handle stress better than other people. We are being trained to get used to the outside world and understand the ups and downs of a office worker. It is here where we learn to do what we will be doing for the rest of our lives. Some of us may not agree with what i said, but no matter how you argue...We are trained to fit into the working world. This is our advantage over other people. Maybe one day i will reflect on this gruesome days and laugh at those 'O' level graudates for choosing poly as their higher learning.
Wanting to switch...
Phase II commence...
Team Member: Sir, we have completed and achieved good results for our phase I of the mission. What shall we do next, sir?
Team Leader (That's me!!): Well... Looking at how our objectives are met in our phase I, i believe we are able to start phase II. All hands on deck! We shall begin phase II now. Set a course to finish all the coding and designing. Full speed ahead. Let's finish before expected time.
Team Members: Aye Aye Sir!!
Nay... Nothing of such happened. Dun think it will happen ever. Haha... Wished it was that exciting. But i have started our 2nd phase of my FYP. It is time for nightmares to begin. Today i had 3 major events. Morning, noon and night. During the morning, i met up with my teammates and we continued our phase II. It is a looooooonnnng time since i touched programming. Needed sometime to get use to the pressure and stress. Especially the shortcuts and the rules of the language. Had to leave school as i had a driving lesson in the afternoon. Went there to drive round and round and left the school to the outside world. Boy, it was fun driving outside. But very dangerous. Good thing the instructor had a brake pad, else i do not know what castatrophic accidents will happen. After the end of the lesson, i headed back to school. Wanted to find my teammates but they could not be found. Alas, i went on and headed for club. Before going there, i went elsewhere to find a lady. This lady is very powerful, she is the Liason Officer for Student Clubs. Short, she is the Clubs' sub head. Wanted to ask her if im able to get CCA points for helpers and orgainsers of my event. But she wasn't there. Kinda dissapointed but still alright. Sat in the club and relaxed my mind of the stress and pressure. After that, i went to meet my friends at a train station. Boy... I waited and waited and waited. I waited for 90mins for 2 gals that i dun have any intrest in. For those that know me, they will know that i will wait till end of time if i arranged a date with a gal. But since these 2 gals are kinda close with me... I shall forgive them this time. Waited from daylight till night... So we went to my senior's 21st birthday party. Had some fun but wasn't as good as expected. Still think i have some gap with them. Don't want to elaborate more, too much is bad for my health.
Nothing much to say as it is very early (Look at the entry time). Maybe i will talk more on monday. When im well rested and fully charged.
Presentation Cleared
A big load have taken off my shoulders. Now feeling rather light and stressless, but it won't be long... Woke up earlier than usual as i could not sleep. Don't know why, maybe too nervous and anxious. Daily routine and stuff... Wore formal clothing again... Like going to Raffles Place to work. Arrived early for lesson, and as usual... The lecturer came late again. Always we waiting for him and not him waiting for us. Anyway, my teammates did not come at all. So i thought they skipped the lesson together. Damn them... Never gave me info to skip... After that, it was the usual lessons. One thing i learn is get close to lecturers to get build up relationship with them. But getting to know them will put oneself in dangerous postitions. I was nominated, with a gun pointing to my head, to be my module class representative. She kept enphasising that these people will get more General Points (GP). But max cap is 10. And she like give it freely every lesson, i think some of the noisy classes that pariticipated actively got like thousand over points. No matter what... Im still the unlucky one. As if i had not enough things to do on hand currently. Started on my project on the same module. Had some problems importing the data into the software. I almost killed my teammate as she forgot to close the other program before importing to the other software. Lunch came swiftly and go swiftly too. I met up with my teammates and we added some details into our presentation slides. Not long later... We went for our presentation. It was rather exciting. Not because this is the first time presenting but the first time presenting something that we did not do before. Totally new. No copycats. I think that is enough to elborate my point. Well... Everything works well and we did not have any major problems. After that, we seperated and i accompanied my ex-Treasurer to the club to take a look at things. Update ourselves on the happening of the club and also take some time off on the stress. Went home after settling on the stuff on hand.
The presentation was something that all of us are very nervous of. We did our best and we presented what we wanted the lecturers to know. Although at the end we got comments on our project, one thing that still pissed me off is the communications between my Supervisors. They are 2 sides of a coin. Although they are our Supp, they talk totally different things. Before the start of my presentation, one of them said not to put any diagrams in the presentation slides. After the entire presentation has ended, the other Supp asked us what happened to all the diagrams. We were like, '?!?!?!' Arghz... Both are good lecturers and both are helping us alot, but they do not seem to have the communication and the understanding of each other. As the leader of the group, im still kinda pissed at this point. 6 weeks have passed and they are still this way. Think the coming weeks, i shall only contact one of them. Don't know what they are trying to do to us...
Objective one met...
