Direction of Life

Do you know your direction of life? When i mean direction, i do not mean the goals in your life. Goals are too generic. A goal is like a soccer goal post. It is always that big. Just that where are you shooting the ball from. Targets are more specific. Try aiming for the bulls eye on the archery board or the dart board. Im sure it has heighten the odds quite. I shall now share with everyone a simple story i saw on the television one night.

There is this tradition in an asian country. When the elderly is about to pass on, the younger generation will have to carry him/her to the highest place in the village. There the elder one will pass on peacefully. My story is about this young man and his mother. He never saw his father as he abandoned mother and child when he was young. The mother fell sick and it got worse as day pass. One day, the mother tell the son that she is passing on. She knows she cannot make it to another few more days. The son did not like to hear those words but he had to. So the next day, he woke up before the break of dawn. He cooked his mother's favourite dish and also prepare food for the journey to the tip of the highest mountain. He bathed his mother and help her wore the nicest clothes she have. After that, he carried her on his back and the equipment of the journey on his front.

It was his first journey. He did not know the way. There were no tracks, no roads, no markings. His only direction was the highest peak on the mountain. So he eyed his target and continued. Once a while, he would feel a tug towards the back. At the start he felt that it was him getting tired, so the weight at the back would feel heavier. He continued his journey. The tug keep coming and the last few were stronger than the previous few. So when he felt a tug, he took a glance back. What he saw made the son very surprised. The mother was grabbed a couple of branches and dropped them on the floor. He was puzzled as why is she doing this but did not ask his mother. He just kept his sight on the top of the mountain.

As fatigue caught up with him, he stopped for a rest at a nearby tree and gave his mother some water. After the mother finished drinking, he took courage and asked the mother why did she pull off branches and drop them on the ground. His mother took a deep breath and answered. 'The branches are for you. I am not going back home. At the top, i will leave you and continue with my other life. But you need to go home. You need the directions of the place we passed. You will be lost without these directions.'

Hearing this, the son could not help but teared.

Training@Avantus: Day 4

End of my training. Went for half a day as i did not feel so good in the morning. Rested and later met up with my colleagues at the training area. Had lunch with them and went back to the classroom soon after. I did not know what am i doing there actually. It is like being there physically and yet gain nothing except 'experience'. Experience of seeing the making of the software into the final product. So most of the time i just continued to surf the net and check my mails. At the same time took the time to chat with my friend using the windows messenger. The main aim to go there was just to collect the certificate. Without that certificate, i think my boss would kill me with a D grade on my ITP. After that i went back home to rest and freshen up before leaving for home again. This time for a speech training. Learning something that i did not learn at all in schools i studied. The trainer is giving commercial version of such training. Each person he charges $600~$800. I just paid $55 for 1/3 of the entire training. Entertaining and definitely something that i think may benefit me in the future.

'When I got shot, two bullets went through my stomach, liver, spleen, esophagus, left lung and right lung. The doctors and everyone, including me, was sure I was going to die, so we all got ready, and then I didn't do it. But I always wished I had died, and I still wish that, because I could have gotten the whole thing over with. Dying is the most embarrasing thing that can ever happen to you, because someone's got to take care of all your details. You've died and someone's got to take care of the body, make funeral arrangements, pick out the casket and the service and the cemetary and the clothes for you to wear and get someone to style you and do makeup. You'd like to help them, and most of all you'd like to do the whole thing yourself, but you're dead so you can't. Here you've spent your whole life trying to make enough money to take care of yourself so you won't bother anybody else with your problems, and then you wind up dumping the biggest problem ever in somebody else's lap anyway. It's a shame. I never understood why when you died, you didn't just vanish, everything could just keep going on the way it was only you just wouldn't be there. I always thought I'd like my own tombstone to be
blank. No epitaph, and no name. Well, actually, I'd like it to say "figment."'

Training@Avantus: Day Three

Arghz... Now is the programming part of the training. How i damn myself for not brushing up my VB.net skills before entering the course. How would i know it would be so VB intense... Now all i know is copy and paste the solution to the current project. Feel so useless and bored. Staring at all the codings on the screen does not help at all. Now is the self-declared break from all that code staring. It really tires me just to analyze codings. Suddenly felt very impressed at those programmers that code the programs. They are using extremely basic codes to code what we see as a programming language today. If i am to compare the pains i have now with the pains they are having at that time, i guess mine can't even be comparable to them. Now awaiting my colleague to finish up his part and explain to me everything from head to toe.

Training@Avantus: Day One

Today went to OUB Centre, Avatus for a four-day training on MS SharePoint Services. It is a new kind of technology desgined by Microsoft and there are not much experts in this field yet. It was pretty fun. No stress at all. Lessons was boring, it is like practical lessons in school. Lecturer just kept babling on while students just absorb as much as possible. Good thing was this had breaks. Every two hours we had breaks or lunch. Furthermore, coffee was just a few steps away from the classroom. The coffee machine was like a object of pure gold when u just step out of the room for the break. A sip of the heavenly liquid puts you back on track. Arghz... Exxagerate too much again. One thing i realise at the CBD area... Food is damn expensive. A small bowl of noodles cost me $3 and i had to buy bread to suffice my hunger! I really wonder how those ITP students, with the size of my appetite of course, survive there? Or maybe there isn't any other ITP students with my kind of appetite...

I still remember a sentence from the movie Shrek 2. I watched it at least four times, guess i lost count of it. One sentence that the Fairy Godmother said, Happiness is but just a teardrop away. So i questioned the sentence, do you need teardrops to get happiness? Or does it mean that only after having tears than happiness comes? I did not get a good answer from my thoughts. That is because i am a creature with no tears. Not exactly dry like the desert, but i cannot drop tears easily. Tears is my weak link so it is logical that i cannot drop them. But i just do not get it. Do we really need to suffer to have happiness? Happiness always come after tears? For me, i have never experienced tears followed by happiness. Like i said earlier... I can't seem to cry. I think is the lack of the ability to cry has not given me true happiness. If crying or droping tears would give me happiness, i would pay any amount, not only in terms of monetary means, to have the ability. Sometimes it is just so miserable... So miserable...

Tears and Happiness...

Alter Ego

Would you wish to be someone you want to be in this current life? A simple example would be wanting to be a doctor when you are actually a fireman. Something like that... How i wish i had an alter ego. A person leading two lives. Sometimes it is one in day, one in night. Usually people that leads two very different lives are superheroes. But in reality, where are these superheroes? Never to be seen, never to be heard. There are also people that lead different lives and yet are called super villians. So in the end, they are the same kind of people, yet they are categorized differently. So within ourselves, do we lead different lives? I do... I did not realise this until a couple of months ago. When i regretted saying those words. My lifestyle changed, my habbits changed. Using the superheroes as an example, i have a normal life. One that everyone sees and hear about. I have another one that only a few knows about. One that i do not want many to know. This second life serves the purpose of making my normal life more stable. I geuss without this second life, i would explode. So do i categorzied as a superhero or a super villian?

Quote of the Day

Today i chanced upon this quote while reading my favourite series of fantasy story books. This sentence was spoken by one of the important male characters in the story to another female. He was shy and do not dare to open his heart to her. But the female knew his feelings, she just wanted to wait for him. So the day before the male goes to war, he told her this sentence...

What lies behind us and
what lies before us are tiny matters
compared to what lies within us.

I hope anyone who reads this is able to understand the underlying meaning of the quote.

Project: Tantalus

You can never find this word in the dictionary. This word is the name of the most powerful Greek God's son. He is Zeus's son, King Tantalus. His story is a simple yet easy to understand. Unlike his elder son, Hercules, King Tantalus was wicked and evil in the heart. He was given mortal powers. Powers to lead and control a large kingdom. He led armies and fought wars. He never lost a single battle when he led. When the enemy hear the commander of the force they are facing, they dread the name Tantalus. All people were able to see his crimes but they could do nothing. Men were killed, womena and children were not spared either. Zeus saw it. He was angry but he could not meddle with mortal matters. He so wanted to punish him and prevent such vermin from harming the land anymore. But he just could not touch him. So he sent another god to do the job for him. Someone that could walk the lands of the mortal. He dealt out punishment that no human can ever imagine at that time. No one knows how he looks for if they see him, they never got the chance to tell others. A dark, shadowy figure that is so different from the gods at Mount Olympus. Unlike the rest of the Gods who bathe in the sun, ride on the clouds of Olympus. This god prefer darkness and loneliness. Something that the other gods could never understand. The name of the god, Hades.

One night, Hades walk up to King Tantalus castle. No guards could stop him, for they fell to the ground with just a glance of his face. He strolled his way to Tantalus's room. When he opened the door, King Tantalus was sound asleep like a baby. He was not disturbed by the sound of the door opening. Neither was he aware of another being in the room. So Hades thought of a better way to wake him up. Hades entered his dream and changed the happy dreams he had into a nightmare. One nightmare that shook King Tantalus so hard, he screamed and awaken with the face of Hades infront of him. Hades told him about the punishment he will be dealt with. A torment so painful, that did not dealt any pain to his physical body. That night, made King Tantalus a totally changed man.

King Tantalus was condemned to join Hades in Hell. He was given a beautiful prison. Where budding trees were, rivers flow and birds flew everywhere. Green grass grew as far as the eye can see. The sun was shining brightly and the air was cool. King Tantalus thought Hell was not so bad after all. He got such beautiful place to spend the rest of his life in. He walked towards a tree with apples hanging within arm's reach. As he reach for the apple, the branches receded. He tried again and reach higher for it, the branch went up higher. Frustrated, he chose another apple. That one too receded. He was mad. Very frustrated and mad. Since apples were not able to be eaten, a simple drink would be good. He moved from the apple tree to the calm, flowing river by the side. He was doubtful that the water might recede when he stepped in. As his feet touch the water, nothing happened. He felt the cool water flowing along the skin of his feet. As he reach down to drink the water, the water receded. He could not drink a single mouth of water. Now he is beginning to feel the punishment of Hades. Hades punishment was not that light. The punishment was not just allowing King Tantalus to starve. King Tantalus never starved. The need to eat was not needed as his soul was trapped in Hell. But he could not taste the sweet apples or fruits surrounding him nor the cooling water gushing pass the green pastures. This was the torment that Hades has set for him. This was the punishment deemed for Zeus's wicked son.

OT!! Again?!?!

Haizz... OT again... Why my partner so good... Kept taking leave and leaving me alone in the office clearing up all the odd jobs the company have. Now i know how it feels to handle two persons job as one. Throwing everything at me, expecting me to perform like i can take it easily. I think the boss must understand that i do have much time with the company so he take the chance to flood me with jobs. Damn... Kept doing things that stop me from completing my current tasks. It is like a cup with a dripping hole at the bottom. No matter how fast the drip is, it is always kept filled to the brim. Well... I am coping well currently. Maybe show a few signs that i am stressed out and overwhelmed. Maybe then he will think twice about assigning more tasks to me. Now i believe i have a new meaning to the word Office.

Office/School - A place where you escape from the stressful life you lead at the place you call home.

Powerful eh??

Movie Quote: Hitch

This is a sentence that is taken from the script of Albert Brennaman(i think it is spelt like this...) from the movie Hitch. Like all good movies, i will always pick the best line i think that gave me the biggest impact. But it is not 100% accurate... I try to be as accurate as possible.

Do you know the feeling of hopelessness when you wake up every morning?

Do you know the feeling of seeing and hoping the woman of your dreams being happy and finding happiness when you wake up every morning?

And what hurts most is that I am not the one providing the happiness for her...

Do you know the feeling...

New Business Plan

What a day... Working at such a small company strength means everyone got to multi-task. So if i did my job a little sloppy, you cannot blame me. I have to pick up calls, read and reply emails(this require brain power), do the work you gave me constantly and also keep track with the consultants on their unfinished business. What do you think i am?? I am paid just $400 and you expect me to do so much. Hire some A level student to do these. I am a trained professional, give me something more worth to do. When Boss said he was signing up classes for us, i was thinking at least i was taking something out of this ITP. But at the end of the day, the Boss gave us a sad news. He wanted to enroll three of his staff in. What happens is that the maximum a company can send in is two. Meaning if the permanent staff cannot get a seat, one of us is going to sacrifice our seat and give it to him. After hearing this, both my partner and i were rather confused. One point you sign us up for classes. Next, you are opting one of us out. What is the meaning of this... But since he is the boss, i dare not show any negativeness out. As i grabbed my coffee, i realise that we are just mere temp staff to tide over the lack of staff. The next batch of poly students are coming for their internship. NP students are coming for two months and will meet the next batch of SP students. Man... The NP students minimum pay is $450. My school is the oldest school, so less pay?

Today as i was eating lunch, something jolt into my mind. I always wanted to start my own business. It is my dream to start out something small, venture into the unknown and learn something from it. I have been sucessful once. But it brought me alot of worries as i may need more help. My last business rolled in a couple of bucks and i sold it when it was in the high period. I really cannot imagine holding a cheque for a simple startup. I do not know how is that man doing, but i do hope he had a great time like me. One thing i have learnt in a business is that you must be ready to make sacrifices. To reap in the big bills, you must let go the small ones. When you have learnt to let go, it is time to learn how to use it. It is exactly the same as gambling. You got to see where the risk is. No point investing all your money if you do not see the risks. But be warned. The bigger the returns, the higher the risks. When you think you have enough, bail out soon so that it won't bog you down. If the person manage to get more money than you, be happy for him. If he loses money and is jealous of you. Well, stare at his sorry face and laugh the hell off. Opps, that was not intentional.

Authors of Life

Just could not go to sleep... Thought writing my ghost story would sent me to dreamland. Now i am still finding that ticket to dreamland. As i write my story, characters in it gain more and more exposure. Readers will get to know how they are like, their personality and how they look. By the descriptive power of words, one is able to imagine the character out. How i wish i could be one character in a story. I do not need to be the main character, but just a simple character would be fine. As a story character, you do not need to find yourself. The author gives you what he wants. He choose what you need to know, how you look like and why you are created. You do not need to bother what happens next as it is already chosen. Good or bad, you have to accept it. Be it a tall, charming prince on a white horse or a young, beautiful lady with long locks of hair and silky smooth skin. All these characters are given what they need to survive in the story. Given what they need to do, need to know, need to say and more. All are given to them. Mere puppets to tell the tale of the author. In the story world, the author is God. He determines who lives, who dies. Who is rich, who is poor. Who will be happy, who will be sad. Thinking like this... Do you think we are authors of our own lives? We determine who we look like, how we look at other people. We determine whether we are to be rich or poor. We determine ourselves to be happy or sad. We are actually writing a story. Our personal story. Friends, family, teachers, anyone that you meet is a character in your story. You are the main character. You are the author. You have the highest power and the most attention paid to in a story. Make it short, make it long. Make it happy or sad. Have it be a mystery or a comedy to people who read it. It is up to you. You make the choice. Be the author of your life.

Start writing today...

Truth Hurts

Yes. Truth hurts... In life, all of us can accept the truth. But it is always that truth is packaged together with pain. Why is this so? Till date i can never find an explanation to this. No matter how you see it, the truth always hurts. Lies are what we like. So we kept telling lies to others and ourselves, training everyday to perfect the art of lying. In the end, we are perfect at the art of lying. We are masters of the skill. Yet, this skill is only superficial. It only lasts that period of time. We do not realise that lies not only makes us happy for that period of time, it also heightens the pain that comes with truth. The bigger the lie we say, the bigger the package of pain it comes with truth. So i ask a question... Why are we perfecting this skill? Why are we doing this that has such a big effect in our lives? Why do we want to cheat ourselves and at the end cause so much pain to ourselves? All these questions can be answered by a single answer. An answer i took so long just to understant the true meaning. Each and every lie we have said and heard is all beacuse of this answer. It is because we are afraid. We are timid, weak and feeble. It is because the pain that, comes with truth, is so overwhelming that we do not want to experience it. So we just took the easy way and lied. By lying, we see ourselves as overcoming this fear. We all know deep inside that this 'overcoming' is temporary. But to keep it aside for the momment and not experience it now, makes us human.

Truth Really Hurts...

The Power of One

I had a tiring day. Woke up early to attend an event. Business Objects event. It was quite a grand event. An estimated attendence of almost 300. The event was held at a grand hotel so the service and food were of a certain standard. My colleagues and i had a good cuppa before going into the convention hall for the talk. It was boring. Real boring. I almost fell asleep. The entire event lasted only two hours and in-between had a coffee break. Thanks to the coffee break, i did not fell asleep in the room. When the event ended, we went over to Sim Lim square to collect a computer part that my Boss had bought. The building was located about two blocks away from the train station. We alighted at the train station to find ourselves trapped. It was raining heavily. In the end, we took on the rain and took shelter whenever we can. Although the entire journey was short, it was a memorable one. Wearing formal and getting wet, my first in my life. After we paid for the part, we went to have our lunch. With filled stomachs, we reluctantly went back to the office to continue our day. When i arrived at the office, the in-tray for tasks to do were piled up really high. Just imagine, i took 30mins just to read emails and another 45mins to think of a reply and reply those that require my attention. That is how tasked heavy we are. At the end of the day, i was exhausted. But thanks to the good coffee in the morning, the morning part was still pretty good.

What is exactly the power of one? When i mean the power of one, i do not mean that one is a weak number. In quantity, one maybe a good thing. One can be a bad thing too. Of course, in any competition, the lesser the number the more disadvantage you have. But when i mean one, i meant what one person can do. The power of just one. A pessimist will see one as the last digit of the number scale. An optimist will see one as the starting point of everything. Everyone knows the classic story of Journey to the West. The monk in the story said this sentence, 'A journey of a thousand steps, starts out with the first.' One is something that you can never escape. An impact like the fall of the WTC in NYC. One simple act, it made the world more aware of a new kind of global enemy. You do not need a force of millions to conquer the entire world. All you need is just one weapon. If a person is able to make the entire out of power for one day. Think, how many people would he have killed by just making that one choice. It is just one sentence that made me regret deeply. One sentence that was typed out. One sentence that made such a deep regret that i still cannot get overit. That is the power i am talking about. The power of just one.

Mighty Number One...

Spying for company

I told my boss that my dad's company is using one of the products that we are selling. A rival company is taking up the project. He just called me over to his desk and sent me out of the company and back to my dad's place. So i hailed a cab and went to my dad's place. I met up with the consultants and the business manager soon after. My boss told me to take as much information as possible so they can know more about their strategy. I posed lots of questions to them. Hope they do not find me a nuisance. They were patient enough to go through an example for my mum and her workers to let them have a taste of what is yet to come. They will be coming for the next three days. I doubt my boss can allow me to leave the office for the next three days. But i have left my informant, my mum, to collect all the data and documents. She do not mind sharing it with my boss. Well... Maybe one day they can work together.

I could not sleep last night. I do not know why but my mind was wide awake. It really bothers me alot when i cannot go to sleep when i am suppose to. Not having enough sleep is optional but not sleeping when i am suppose really annoys me. So i just close my eyes and hope i can drift off to sleep. Tossed and turn, but to no avail. In the end, i took the time to think of writing a story. It came to mind that horror movies are always about one creepy 'person'. So i decided on writing one where the creepies are more than one. I shall not reveal too much but i think this story may put a chill down your spine. Thinking of the plot and how the victims die gave me a scare. Lastly, i hope this would be a miricle. One day somebody will take my story and make it into a movie. I would be a famous screenplay writer. HAHAHA... But i guess that will only happen in my dreams. If i can drift off to sleep fast enough.

In-blog Entertainment pt. 2

A NUS graduate found himself difficult to get a job here. He finally accepted the offer to work with Mandai Zoo.

"What to do? It's better to work like this than earning nothing...", mumbling to himself.

So since that day, the IT grad started work acting as a monkey. He has to wear monkey suit and mask, chew nuts and eat bananas. He has to climb trees too and jump from one to another to attract visitors. The zoo has since then enjoyed tremendous business due to the increase in visitors. Even SM Lee wanted to see the super 'smart' monkey in the world.

Unfortunately, one day when he was jumping from the trees. He fell down
into a crocodile pool!

"Oh my God....I'm dying... now" he thought, as a hungry looking crocodile swam steadily towards his direction.

In the middle of his struggle, suddenly he heard a soft voice...

"Don't be afraid my friend... I'm from NTU".

Heard of graduates serving tea in offices, but dressing up as animals??

In-blog Entertainment

Time for some witty remarks, absurd situations and those 'i-want-to-hit-you' stories.
Red ones are my comments.

Wife : Do you want dinner?
Husband : Sure, what are my choices?
Wife : Yes and no.
One way to make your husband feels like a total idiot.

Jenn: Is this my train?
Station Master : No, it belongs to the Railway Company.
Jenn : Don't try to be funny. I mean to ask I can take this train to Kuala Lumpur.
Station Master : No Madam, I'm afraid it's too heavy.
Only happens in Malaysia. Definitely in Malaysia.

Customer : If I post this letter tonight, will it get to Penang in two days time?
Post Master : Well it might do.
Customer : I bet you, it won't.
Post Master : Why not?
Customer : It's addressed to Johor.
Okie, this has to be in Singapore.

A drunkard was brought to court. Just before the trial there was a commotion in the gallery. The judge pounded the gravel on his table and shouted, "Order, order." The drunkard immediately responded, "Thank you, your honour, I'll have a scotch and soda."
After this, try pleading for a death sentence.

Chris and Peter were in the cinema. Chris was talking and talking and talking, totally disturbing Peter enjoying the show. Peter could not take it anymore and waited for the right momment...
Chris: Hey Peter! Did you see that?? DID YOU SEE THAT?!?!
Peter: No Chris. I paid $8.50 to stare at the f**king floor.
Because the F-word means so much more.

Jane : Do you love me?
Peter : Yes Dear.
Jane : Would you die for me?
Peter : No, mine is undying love.
Awwwww...

Happy World Scout Day

Yesterday is the International World Scout Day. I celebrate it during my primary and secondary days. Even now as im not a registered scout, i still celebrate with a couple of my close brothers and sisters in the Scouting and Guiding life. Even though we have seperated, we will always remember the times where we spend our time together. The fun and laughter. It is this comradeship, that brings me closer to my friends. This comradeship made them my brothers and sisters. I still my days in the Scouting life. I miss playing with ropes, chopping wood, setting up tents and singing in a circle around the campfire. I still remember the camps i went, the camps that i represented my school. I still remember wearing my uniform, waiting at one corner on a National Day Parade at school for an award. The most prestigious award that all the uniform group members would want to get. The Best Unit award. I still remember the celebrations my brothers and sisters prepared when i came back with the award. But i will never forget the faces of the other uniform groups student leaders, those jealous and envy looks. Hahaha... I miss those days. Miss those golden days. I promise myself, one day i will go back and learn the ropes all over again. I will do what i like. Attend camps, go hiking, go camping in the wilderness and build structures.

World Scout Day...

Boring Seminar At MS HQ

Im actually using the net service here in Microsoft HQ. The seminar im attending now is very boring. They are going through the technical stuff. I came here to understand how the software works, i do not need to know how you code it or how you configure it. What a waste of time. Compared to being in the office, here is ranked higher on the list of bored places. Last night had a wonderful time at one of my buddies place. We finally got together after so long of absence. It was like an neverending session with them. I enjoyed it even more when i managed to get some extra spending money. If you know what i mean... Muahahaha... If you guys are reading this, i know what to do.

No money problems...

Tears In Heaven

I changed the layout for the first time. There are still some default things and i have not changed them yet. I will change them slowly. Why the sudden change, someone asked me. My blog almost a year old, of course have to get new clothes for it right? For the Chinese, they belive in wearing new clothes for the new year. Well, im Chinese and i changed my blog layout. Hope the new year would be better for it. Next question was why is it this title? Tears In Heaven is a song that i liked very much since i was a small kid. My Dad introduced me the artiste. This song had a special meaning. It was written for his dead son. His son passed away at a very young age. So as he continues with life, he believes that his son also grows up in heaven. The song describes the agony, the sadness when he leaves this world. It also tells about what will happen when he goes to heaven. Will his son remember him? Will his son know his name? Will his son call him 'Dad' when he see him? It will be very sad if he does not.

So what has that got to do with me? I do not have a son, neither am i going to heaven soon. But i believe that if anyone close to you passes away, would you wish that when you step into heaven they would acknowledge you? Would you want them to remember you? I do. My grandfather passed away for more than 10 years. Till date i still missed him alot. I think of him when i see the gift he gave me. It is still in my room. Everytime i see him, i remember the scene where i see the whole process of his death. I was devasted. Nothing else in that point of my life grabbed me and put me into the harsh reality. Overnight, i just lost one of my most favourite and closest relative. Seeing him falling to his knees with blood everywhere. Held on to him till he fell to the floor, not moving at all. When the paramedics came, he is still not moving. I held on to his hands, tears just flowed down like rain, wishing so much he would touch my face again. Wishing so much he could call my name again. I called out to him. So loudly, so very loudly. But nothing helped, he just slipped away from my hands. There is so much i want to show him, so much i want to tell him. It just ended like this. Now all i wish is that when i leave this place. If i ever go to heaven, i want to find him and give him a big hug. I want to tell him how much i miss him. I want to tell him all the things i have done, all the achievements i have and let him know i had a wonderful life on earth. I will always keep him in my heart and never let him go.

Love you, Grandfather...

Commando Assesment

That lousy pink form... Send me to such a far away camp to do some physcial check and medical check. Although my physical is not very good, but there is a check on the psychomoto thigie. The softer side of your physical, eg. balance, agility, flexibility, etc. I did the softer side well. Some even to the best. Haha... The worse part about the assesment is the questions. Sat at the auditorium for two hours to finish almost 300 questions. Check our IQ, our ways to handle stress and our personality. Very boring. When it all ended, we waited for our bus to send us back to civilization. When the bus came, i saw two friends who are sent to this assesment too. Haha... Hope they do well. People ask me whether i want to go in. I do want to go far. This is the only 2 years of my life that i will ever get to do things that other normal people will not get to. Try everything, learn as much as possible and come out with lots of stories to tell the younger generation. So whether i go into the Commando Unit, does not matter to me. As long i do not get into a boring vocation, im fine with it.

Far, Far Away...

Same Same; But Different

Working for the Microsoft Partner company has its perks. Today Boss invited us to the Microsoft Business Solutions lunch. The whole company is invited. All of us are splited up so we sat with strangers. But Boss and Boss Wife sat with people they knew. Those Microsoft big shots. Me... I sat with a couple of Indian nationals and some uncles. My colleague got a better seat. His table got three beautiful ladies. It is his blessing to even get their namecards. Haha... After lunch, we went back to the office to continue our work. It was pretty boring, but i endured it and went home in one piece.

Hope you guys like the previous entry of my creative writing. I will try another one now. This one will explain my gradtitude to what we have.

Sense
We have eyes, but the blind see more than us.
We have ears, but the deaf hears more than us.
We have tongues, but we mute express more views than us.
If we are blind, deaf and mute, would that make us treasure our lives more?

I find that this kind of sucks. Trying out, so please be kind to me...

Blind, Deaf, Mute...

Mission: Intolerable

Today is a stressful day. I have been given commands to do alot of things at such a short time. Marketing department ask me to help out, IT department wants me to do some minor research, Boss Wife wants me to help her entertain clients. ARGHZ!!! Im one person and i only work for nine hours a day. More than that, you talk to my LO. Pay me $400 and ask me to work like you pay a full-time staff. After two months working there, i still keep the same thinking i had before i started ITP. Paying little for a professional. I do think that we Poly students are professionals. We are trained for a particular industry. That is our profession. Today as i entertain a few clients, two of them are Poly graduates. They are now mid-level management people. Young, single and half-rich. I say half-rich because they are earning more than they are spending. The rich are the ones that earn so much, they will take a long time to spend their money. So i chatted with them and ask them for advice on remaining at the spot where they are. Both of them told me different things, but i realise one thing. Both of them hung on to it like their lives depend on it. I think that is the attitude that the higher people wants to see. I will keep that in mind when i finish my Army days and go on to work.

Less work please...

This is Where I Belong

I got home finally. Yesterday night when my parents are having dinner, i entered home with all the memories and gifts for everyone. My Dad was just happy that i got home in one piece. No sickness, no injuries. My Mum scolded me and gave me hell. She nag and nag. Non-stop... Used to it... Well... As a punishment for not spending LNY with them, we have agreed on terms that they will freeze my allowances for the next six months. But the money will be put inside an account for investment. I see it as i gain more, i do not spend it and i may get to double the amount. So for the next six months, i will be very broke. Now my bank account left with only $20plus. Living on the ITP allowance now... Spent every cent i have on my trip. It feels so good to be back. When i have my computer, my bed and PS2. When i came back, my room is a total mess. My brother took friends over and bombard my room. Man... I almost strangled him and squeeze the living hell out of him. I was so tired and i had to work today, so i bathed and slept.

I bought a book during my wait at the Bangkok airport when i was waiting for my flight home. I took transits. That book taught me about creative writing. How to use words and analogies or examples to explain a certain meaning and express it for others to understand. I shall try it now.

The Wait
The Ugly Duckling waited for winter to become a beautiful swan.
Cinderella waited for the right fit.
Snow White waited for revival with seven of her midget friends.
Sleeping Beauty waited for the one to awake her.
Jasmine waited for Aladdin to tell her the truth.
Rapunzel waited till her hair grew long for her freedom.
Belle waited for Beast to realise true love.
The Frog Prince waited days and nights for the one who will free him from his misery.

So am I...

Hope you understand...

Destination: Home

Im now at the airport waiting for my flight back home. I always have alot of patience waiting. But i discovered that waiting for the flight is really taxing on me. Im tired, i carry alot of stuff. How i wish now i would lie on my bed and rest my head on my pillows. Before i can get to do that, i guess i will have endless torment dealt out by my parents. Flight now is on boarding status, i still have another 20mins more. Shall give this up and let the children play with it.

Just Lose It

I attended church today. Even though i do not understand what the pastor was talking about all the time, i know that the spread of the religious knowledge is good here. A place where the buddhists stand so much advantage and so many are in that religion. Im not stating that i do not like the other religions, but just fascinated at how a minute community is able to survive in such a concentrated nation. After church, i went to find food. Cheap food. Im beginning to run out of cash. There is always this tempt to use the money for my flight back home. But i always consider the consequences before ever touching the money.

In Chiang Mai, life is always so simple. A pizza the size of the large pan pizza from Pizza Hut cost only $9. In Singapore, that would bring me up to $20 over. Food here is cheap, no wonder the ang mohs here are eating like they have not eaten for weeks. Even more surprising is this... Mineral water cost more than carbonated drinks. In Singapore, i think this will never ever happen. Now i guess if i can't bring the physical item home, i would take a photo and bring it back home. Some time i would think what my parents would do to me when i arrive home. Will they kill me or miss me alot? I hope it is the former. It has been some time that my mom killed me. They still do not know where am i... Unless those that knew told them already. I hope they would not turn to the police for a missing boy. Even though, im sure they would be able to locate me via the immigration records. I would know the truth when i arrive at Changi Airport with a couple of policemen to escort me. If so, i wonder will they confiscate all the pirated DVDs i buy?

Coming back soon...

Im Not Lost, Just Finding Myself

Im sorry if you guys are messaging me over the holidays and stuff, and for those that got calls from my parents. Im actually not in SG. Right now, im sitting in this lousy internet cafe with a super lousy computer. Hey... What do you expect for paying 45 cents per hour of net usage? I guess only the ang mohs sitting around me would have more patience than me. Cut to the point, i am now in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I came here alone, not with a group, not with my family. I spent LNY eve and the first two days alone in this foreign country. Eerything is so cheap, makes you feel like you are spending alot but when its actually very little. Yesterday i spent the night in Laos, i decided to move from here and visit the Golden Triangle. But after the night at Laos, i guess the fear inside me came out. I was trembling with fear. Literally... Alone in that room, only a single lamp on top and screams of women outside the budget hotel. What am i saying... Hotel?!?! More like a tourist prison! I did not sleep the whole night. This morning, i took a bus and came back to Chiang Mai. Bus journey was long, but at least my chances of coming back is more.

I soon realise that this trip is very different from my last backpacking trip. This trip was suppose to escape reality. What reality? The life in Singapore. I can still remember the conversation i had with the guy at the mobile bar(YES!! A mobile bar!!). He is a university graduate and now selling drinks to tourists. As i sat at the counter, i looked at the prices of the drinks. 50 bhat for a shot of Vodka, estimated at S$2.50. I thought a cup or two would help me sleep through. But as i go on, some ang mohs are shocked to see a guy half of their age drinking more than they do. Near 2am, the bartender had earned almost 800 baht from me. Just one night, i drank more than any customer compared. He asked me how i trained myself to drink that much. I said, when im happy i drink, when im sad i drink. In happiness i drink to remember, in sadness i drink to forget. After that, i just put 1000 baht on table and walked off.

If anyone got important things to find me, just email me. I will get back to you soon. If i ever get back...

Sooooooo Sloooooooooooow...

Life here is going so slow. I check my watch before i do something. After completing it, i check it again. BOLLOCKS!! I just used 20 minutes on that simple task. I was intending to use the entire hour. Well... Life travels very slowly when you are bored, tired and have nothing much to do. Usually we got things piled up to do, but due to the upcoming Lunar New Year, nothing much is being done. Not much calls are coming in and not much things to do either. Maybe i contact my colleugue to sign me up for another boring lesson of recorded web lesson.

Lunar New Year

After keeping my blog for so long, i realise that it had not been through a Lunar New Year at all. While, this year would be it's first time. Today at work was pretty boring. But it was not all dull and drag for the entire day. Lunch was paid by Boss. But it was not catered. In the end, the Boss Wife pass me $50 and ask me to take orders from the staff. All of a sudden, i become lunchboy... Walked all the way to the foodcentre and bought the packed lunches. During lunch, Boss announce why he paid for the food. They got a big client and they are paying the staff for the hardwork they do. I think the $30 plus meal is just measly for the type of revenue the client is paying. I saw one cheque from an old client. They are upgrading their workstations. For upgrading of TWO workstations, they are already paying $11K Singapore dollar. The new client is a MNC and they are using it in Singapore for this year. If it is good, they will use the same system for the six different countries they have invested. If everything goes well, that idea plan will come true in five years from now. That means, when i come back five years time. I will be seeing three times the number of staff in the company. Wow... The company is growing fast. Hope they continue to grow fast but not stinge on the allowance of the Interns. We work just as long, but get paid measly. Even the full time telemarketers get paid double of my amount.

Keep on growing...

Lightning Struck Twice??

Yesterday i was sick, i just recovered a little today and another thing overwhelmed me again. As i end the gruesome day of the working life and head back home, i walked down to my house basement to open the mailbox. As i open it, i saw something pink inside. At first thought, another Lunar New Year card to bless the family. But as i reach in for it and pull it into the close range of my eyes. I realise it was not what i thought. There written using Arial on font 22(estimation); MINISTRY OF DEFENCE. I am shocked to see a letter sent to me from MinDef. So i carried the unopenned and sealed letter to my room. Dropped my stuff, change my clothes and settled down to rest. I stretched out my arm to grab that piece of sealed letter... Wondering what the MinDef wanted me to do? I tear the sides of the letter like the same way i used to open the exam timetable my school always send. There printed clearly that i must report to Pasir Ris MRT at 8.30AM. The first sentence sent me to the brink of hell. My mind was from an anxious mood to a BOLLOCKS mood. I live in the west, you are telling me to travel all the way to Pasir Ris and report 8.30am sharp at the MRT station?!?! Furthermore, i am to have my breakfast before i report! A little note to the Government... I am still schooling and im at my internship. My company is torturing me with all kinds of instruments they have at the office. Now this has to happen. After a few seconds of BOLLOCKS mood, i returned back to reality. A simple peace of mind for 15 seconds and im sent back to BOLLOCKS mood again. The Commando Camp is situated at Changi, so a shuttle service from Pasir Ris is going to bring me there. Does that mean i get a tour of the place im going to die before i go in?? Wow... Like some kind of preview of the latest movie ya? Man... The Commandos. They yield the highest honour and respect. But for now, i guess i just enjoy the time i have till the enlistment date.

Note: If you do not want to end up like me in the Commando Unit, please DO NOT let your little friend jump too high. A law created by a junior of mine at the club last month when we were at Sentosa. He should know who...

We Need A Medic!!

When i plug in the thermometer into the mouth, the temperature started to climb. I can see from the side of my eye that it is climbing real high. When i took it out, i was shocked... 39 degrees... Wow... Im hot!! No wonder the pains on the joints and the bloated stomach are tell-tale signs of sickness. But today was a full day of rest. I slept alot... The doctor gave me drugs to bring down the fever and also some mild painkillers to stop the pains. As the counter nurse gave me my MC, she gave me a look as if i do not need it at all... I do not know what to say but when i left the place, i just curse alittle on her. Bollocks!! Haha... I did not proceed home directly. I went to the supermarket to get some bread and vegetables for lunch. As soon as i went back home, it was a strict diet of bread, lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes. I admit i was not suppose to eat cheese, but i just could not help it when i opened the fridge. The mind says, 'No!! You can't eat that!!!' While the hand says, 'Just take a slice. It won't hurt much.' Lunch was pretty healthy and tasty, but drugs were pretty bad. Now i do not feel like sleeping even though the fever is still there.

I'm still alive...

Bollocks...

A new word i learnt to replace the word 'Sh!t'. I read an article where the word Bollocks is a less vulgar and formal word to use when things does not go your way. A good example of using the word would be this. When you have overwritten a new file with an old one. That is the point where you can say, Bollocks. I am trying to use the word more often as i see the potential of the word. If i say it fast, it sounds like buttocks. So it can replace another word that i usually call people, which is @ssh0le. I think it would take some time for the word to totally replace all the words i have been using. Maybe in the future, the word would be categorised as one of the most used words in the entire world.

Hahaha :D

Thinking too much...

Day @ Microsoft HQ

A simple lunch and a quick exit from the company landed me straight into the Central Business District(CBD) for a seminar by Microsoft. My partner and I arrived at the location early so we went around for a walk. Looking at the enviroment, i realise how the hustle and bustle of the CBD feels. Compared to the quiet industrial park here, it is like a huge shopping centre with a big sale going on. Our journey starts by walking around the make-shift stalls at Caltex House. We were discussing whether to get some snacks and consume it while in the seminar. I jokingly said, why not we get a bag of crunchy chips and munch on it loudly while they are presenting? It is something that i think would definitely drop the company's image to the basement level. When the time comes, we went to the venue and registered ourselves. There was a three tables there to promote the Chinese culture and the festive mood of the Chinese New Year. The table that intrests me the most is an old man who does two very facinating things. Firstly, he passes u a set of cards with lots Chinese characters. You choose your surname and place the card with your surname on a piece of board with hundreds of characters. When you place the card facing down, he will know what your surname is without looking at the card. Amazing!! After that, he asks you to write a word of your choice and he will analyze your writing to describe about your personality and your future. The way he speaks and stuff, seems to be taken out of a template most of the time. I guess most fortune tellers are like this. I did not managed to get my fortune told as we were being ushered into auditorium. The audtorium was pretty cool and the view outside is astonishing. After the seminar, there was food and drink. Simple snacks and glasses of wine. The wine was not very good but at least the standard was there. When we left the place, the lady that registered us gave us our door gift.

Post Trauma Syndrome - Spongebob Squarepants

Yesterday was a boring day. Nothing much happens but it was not that stressful. Both Boss and Boss Wife were not in the office. Boss was busy with clients while Boss Wife was sick. I guess she ate too much goodies during the long holidays. Funnything is that the staff are not eating snake, but the hardware are!! During the afternoon, the company laser printer did not react to 20 plus documents sent in for printing. After that, the internet server went down for around half an hour. We were stuck without any internet connection. Near the end of the day, the fax machine went bonkers. It could not send nor receive faxes. All of us were like thinking, the machines are revolting as the Boss and Boss Wife not around?? My partner joked and said that the age of the machines is here. The office wares will take over humankind. What a lame joke... If the machines were to take over, why this small little office with only five person inside? Anyway, we did what we could and still managed to finish our work in time. Some got carried over to today but it was completed soon.

I heard on the radio that scientists in Britain(those idiots again...) have made a ban on the up and coming Spongebob Squarepants movie. They are saying that the cartoon is cauing children to misjudge the sexuality or gayness and also instill overrated stupid actions and thoughts in them. They are also the ones that created a towel that does not drop when wrapped around a woman's body. One thing to say to them... Why can't they just keep their hands and minds where they are suppose to?!?! Why must they mess with life's most intresting things? What has Spongebob done to them? Is the movie or the cartoon a Weapon of Mass Destruction? I think it is more like a Weapon of Mass Laughter. I have seen the cartoon and i like it very much. It is a mindless cartoon that is the new age of humour. No more like Tom & Jerry where they whack each other silly. This time, the humour is something i do not know how to describe. A new age of cartoon for the new age of children. What sexuality or instill stupid actions or gayness. I doubt the children knows the meaning of sexuality at their age. I think the innocence of a child will never think of such things and continue their enjoyment on the cartoon itself.

Spongebob da best...

Poly 50: The Aftermath

Wednesday we had our inaugural annual event. The dreaded Poly 50, 50 rounds of 600m with 10 runners doing relays. My final year and i decided to join to make my life complete. When i arrive at the place, the adrenaline inside me pumps and i suddenly felt like i was ready. Ready for anything thrown at me. We did complete the event and had some good experiences too. This year we had more participants. I hope next year more participants will join in and represent the club. Even though my arms and shoulders hurt, my legs ache, i feel that the time spent there is worth it. A short period, but still a good short period of time. Now i realise the meaning of school and work. School is where the fun never stops. When you are doing projects or planning events, the fun factor is always there. Friends are always there to listen to you and enjoy time together. This is what i will never forget. My experiences in Poly life and my brothers i have made during my Scouting days. But time moves on, i will also move on. Nothing stops me. I think the next one i am going to enjoy would be the comradeship and companionship in the Army. I look forward to it and hope i make the best out of it.

An Interview with Ms SG...

Haha... The title is very misleading. She is not the winner but she is a good friend of Jamie Teo!! Haha... This type of friend should never leave my mind. The interview with her is pretty good. She was pretty nervous. I guess the training she had during her pageant days are fading. The way she sits and the way she replies show it all. But her smile is very nice. No wonder her past awards for being Ms Photogenic is substantial. The photos online and meeting the person is very different. If a picture says a thousand words, i guess meeting the real person says a hundred words. Haha... Hard to believe but she is a technical person. She got training from NUS and she is able to do coding and debugging. I was taken aback when she said she like the technical side of life. As i always think beauty queens and finalists are all vain creatures. They would like to dress up and do things that requires not much thinking. A basic example would be Paris Hilton. Not much thinking required and she is earning big bucks!! Well... Boss Wife says she is quite a good candidate. After a little discussion with Boss, she decides to back her up and try to get her in the office. Well... I think by the time she comes in for work, i will be out and never be back again! Sad ar...

Interview Week: Day Two

Yesterday was the first day that i sat in to a corporate interview. The first was rather uneasy as i do not know the steps and the situation well. Boss Wife scripted the interview by me asking simple questions before she asking the major ones. The first one i kind of screwed up a little. Instead of asking three questions, i forgot about them and asked only two!! So during the conversation between Boss Wife and the interviewee, she popped the question i missed and gave me a stare that tells me im in trouble. When the second one came during the evening, it was like a stroll in the park. Though i was tired, but i had to pay attention to what the candidate said. I am one of the evaluators. Jokingly, Boss Wife told me that my evaluation stand at 20%. Wow... I wonder what will the candidates think when they get hired and learn that they are being evaluated by an intern that is not even a Diploma holder. Haha... Today the third one came and we had quite a nice chat. The session was pretty good. The candidate had deep knowledge of the products that we are selling. That kind of impressed me. He was an Indian National so his speech had an Indian accent. Moved was heard as 'moo-ed'. Leave was heard as 'lee'. Quite confusing... But nonetheless, he is still on top of the previous two. This evening i will meeting with the Ms Singapore finalist. A runner-up of the year 2001. First time ever to meet up with one of the most beautiful ladies on the island. Hope the session would be a good one. Even better... Boss Wife hire her. Haha...

Another Weekend

Another week has passed and i am on my way to installing a new software for the company. On Monday, i will be conducting a Hands-on Operation for the entire office staff. All staff will be taking the lesson. Well... Like they always say, a teacher is always harder than the student. This is no exception too. I had to type out a operation procedure document. It sucks to the core... It is something like my FYP project phase 2 where the document teaches you step-by-step on each function and what you will see. That is a chore man... No wonder documentation are hated by the software consultants in my office. I guess i am together with them. Today i did something that was really intresting. The company is hiring another three more staff. The resumes are in and Boss Wife gave the oppurtunity to filter through and select the ones i think it is appropriate for the company. Of course i had some guidance from her, a set of requirements the resume have. If it fits all the criteria, than he/she will be called in for an interview. If it falls between 75%~99% than it will go through another round of filtering. At the end of the day, i got eight interviewees and they will be coming next week. I even plan out who to come at what time and what are they applying for. Well... Just a little let out, one of the interviewee is a Miss Singapore contestant. She has gotten the rank of Top 5 in the competition in 2001. She does attach a photo, but it was blur and hard to comprehand. My partner and i are looking forward to meeting one of the most beautiful ladies on the island.

I always belive in cause and effect. My Boss Wife always tell me that the one above us will decide for us. Maybe that is why i am such a lousy believer. Those that knows me well will know that im a person with high determination. Nothing will stand in my way. Yesterday when i was speaking to a friend who is also a strong believer, she said that she put alot of believe in the one above. 'I hope i can do well. But it all boils down to where He wants to put me.' After hearing this, i asked her, 'So in terms of percentage, how much would u split them?' '50/50,' was her answer. I asked her if she wanted things to go her way. She just say she tried her best, which i am glad to hear, and the rest just let Him decide. I think such people just find comfort in thinking this way. It makes them feel better when things does not go the way they like. For me, i do it in this percentage. 90/10. I believe in 90% of myself and 10% on the one above. If i do not fight for it, it will never be mine. I do not want everybody to dis-believe in your own religion. But do think about this... When you fail, do you think that it is your fault? Or do you think that it is something that we cannot control ourselves?

Fate in hands...

Lost Update Pt.2

I got too tired again... Everyday i am spending so much energy at the office and i come back home to rest. But it seems that i do not have enough everytime... Hmm... Can't wait for this to end and back to doing more important stuff. As this week is my deployment week for the software im testing, i have been reading page after page of installation manual on the microsoft web. It is very brain stressing... After reading all of it, i think i only absorbed 25% of it. The rest of the 75% is... Well... Dumped into the recycling bin! Haha... After work, i went to attend a meeting with my outside club. Another brain-wrenching event... Preparing for the AGM of the club and the year events of the club. When the meeting ended, i arrived home very very late. Bathed, prepare for work and went to bed early.

One month has passed and it went on pretty well. A lot of memorable stuff and alot of complaints too. But overall, looking at how the company treats me... I can see that they do care about the interns after all. Even though we are like cheap labour to them, i have learnt a few skills on intra-personal and office skills. Something that i have not learnt in school. As for the colleagues in the office, we have got closer and now we are able to joke and laugh. Sometimes we do shoot each other but i guess it is the bond that the past month i have experience that bonds us together. Now i begin to look at the brighter side of the office life and not always on the dark side of it. But i know something about myself that will motivate me for the rest of my life. I do not like to work much, but i like to see people working with me towards the same goal. If they are working towards the same goal as me, i would definitely put in more effort than what i am doing right now.

Working as one...

Lost Update

Last night i did not update my life... By the time i was jacked in, i was too tired to think. Yesterday i went to settle some things that i left it undone for weeks. Thanks god the things are not mouldy and filled with fungus. But they are covered totally by dust... Not a pretty sight... After completing those stuff, i had my dinner and sat down infront of the TV. After awhile later, i went to sleep.

I read a book and it said something like learning, unlearning and relearning. After some digesting and understanding of the meaning. I know what i can learn and what i can unlearn. It is pretty confusing but when you are learning something, you gain the knowledge. Easy to understand, easy to grasp. When you are unlearning something, you are erasing it totally from mental and physical sides. Hard to get the logic, but it takes sometime to get the full meaning. When you are relearning, you start from not knowing anything and experiencing it all over again. Relearning is very hard for many people. But when you relearn, you see things in another view. You see things and do things differently. Try it. A simple example... Unlearn the lesson of saving money, spend all you want. When you are broke, you will begin the learning of saving money at every possible way.

Relearning for life...

Giving More Than Receiving

Today was a very boring day. A superb boring day... I had to do data correcting for a client. I had to edit almost 2000 rows of entries on 2 seperate Excel files. It is something that i hate doing. Practically the whole day, im editing both files. But the good part is that both Boss and Boss Wife were away from office. They had to look after their son who underwent dental surgery. Nothing serious but he went through it successfully. The only thing that help me ease the tiredness is the times where i am able to relax my mind and read intresting stuff on the web. At the end of the day, i said my goodbyes and left the office. The feeling is like having your freedom back again. I always hated working for somebody, working for a salary. Maybe it is just myself. Maybe it is how i was brought up. But i know that i would not like to work under other people and receive orders from them. I want to work for myself and see the revenue roll in. Nothing special was done today as both of them were not in. It was a rather relaxing day. A relaxing day with a boring job.

The past year i have seen and heard so many needy organisations requesting for financial aids. Each event, the collected amount is always quite huge. Some have reached their target. Some even surpassed their intended target. It we are to sum up all the donations we have made in a year, i think the sum is unimaginable. If anyone is able to provide the donations we have made last year, i would certainly want to know it. A simple example of how Singaporeans are ready to give more than receive. There was a fund raising at one of the orphanages during a weekday. I repeat, it was a working weekday. They only open their donation box in the morning. At the end of the morning, they collected more than $40,000 worth of donation. Imagaine... One weekday morning they collected that much. If they extend it to the end of the day, I wonder would they break the $500,000 limit? It is times like this that i really hold my head up high and say that i am proud to be a Singaporean. I cannot compare with those that hand out thousands of dollars to these aid requests. But i can tell them that i have participated and gave whatever i can give. Lastly, before i end this. Now is the question on whether do the donations we give out reach the intended targets. As i am typing now, aid packets are given to the Tsunami Victims. I hope the rebels of the country or insurgent armies do not get hold of these aid packets and boost their military strength. Another point to note... What happens if there is an overflow of donations to these countries?

The Singaporean Pride...

1 More day...

Tomorrow will be the day where i will be submitting my log book to my supervisor. But currently my supervisor is a marketing head. So do i pass the book to her or to Boss Wife?? Dilemma dilemmas... Well... Today is not a fantastic day, just a little more excitment than usual. I met accidentally one of my ex-classmates. She is working at the same building as me, and i do not know it at all!! What a waste... My classmate working one floor down and i have not met him once yet. One month has passed and i hope to have lunch one day with him. Nothing much happened today. Boss did not give me any special jobs. But he told us to learn to install a new software and he is getting the neccessary soft/hardwares to get the program running. All i have to do is install, configure, train the staff and fine-tune it so in future they can settle any problems without us. My partner read up on the installation while i did up the configurations. By next week friday, this whole software should be up and running. The sofware will be given one month's grace. After one month, a quick review will be done on the program. If a good response is receive, it will be accepted forever. If not... We will strip the program and throw in a new one. By then... I hope it would be the former and not the latter.

Too tired to think of something to write here. I have been writing so much of my inner thoughts for all to enjoy. These thoughts range from stories to personal feeling on the event. I think as time goes by, i have enough to write a book. By that time, it will be my second source of income. Haha... Well, one of my sub-dreams will be a columnist for a local newspaper. That way, i can reach out to the mass target on my thoughts and feelings on the local situation. It would be nice if it happens, but that is not i will work for. I will work for my final dream. My dream will always push me to achieve greater heights. Mark my words, and mark them well. I will achieve what i want and nothing will bring me down.

Live, Dream, Enjoy...

Copy, Paste, Copy, Paste... ARGHZ!!!!

Im going crazy?!?! Documentation of a program is the most boring work one can ever do!!! Word document after Word document. I think i have typed almost 40mb of Word files. ARGHZ!!! Why must interns do such labourious jobs? Like what i said... Professional training for data entry salary.

Listen to the Wind

Woke up with a stiff neck this morning. What a pain... I did things slowly and with a pain. After some stretching, it did not hurt that much. Furthermore, it was raining. I carried my brolly and walked to the busstop. The rain was rather heavy and i had to slog my way from the busstop to the office. This time, i was early. So things was rather smooth for me. Like usual... My life in the office is split into two. Morning was to learn and evaluate the software. After lunch would be ad-hoc jobs for the company. Today special job was sales call... Man, i had to learn the ropes of a sales person and call each and every company on my list. It is a very tiring job. Repeat the same sentence over and over again. At the end of the day, i check how many i called. I totally called 250 companies?!?! What the hell?!?! That is the 1/4 of the target the actual sales person shud get in a week. I did it in a day... The Boss was rather impressed by me and he told me to go home and have a good rest.

If you had the patience, sit down where the wind blows and listen carefully to the wind. You will understand that listening to the wind is one of life's most relaxing thing. You cannot find much wind here in Singapore, but if you find a windy area. Take a break and let the wind blow onto your face. Listen to how the wind blows and tune your mind to the wind. After awhile, you will realise that you have forgetten all your worries and pains. Even a few minutes or a few seconds would help you feel better for the day.

Find windy place...

Starting Anew

The second entry of the new year. My blog is not even a year old. The birthday of this blog is coming. I still do not know what to give. Any ideas for it?? Went to work in the morning and i realise Boss came in earlier than me!! Was stunned so i quickly went to my workstation. Than i realise something is amiss... How come there is so little staff in the office?? That is the point i realise that there are three more staff members still not arrived yet. But Boss did not say anything to the latecomers. I guess he was lenient as long as you contribute to the business. I gave my evaluation of the software i have been testing and learning last week. Boss threw me some problems and i had to solve it at that momment. It is like presenting my FYP all over again. This time, i was prepared. I knew what is to be done and how it is to be done. A few minutes later, the Boss ask if it was logical and feasible to get the software for the company. I did not hesistate and said yes to the question. Next momment, he told me to write a report on the project and the budgeted time and money for the entire program. My very first company project. More work to do, but at least the mood was there. I finally able to contribute to the company. During lunchtime, Boss Wife sent me out of the company. She sent me back to school. But the motive was to promote our school food to them. I was suppose to buy 10 packets of good food in one foodcourt. I wanted so much to go to FC6, but i know during lunchtime. It will definitely kill me on the timing. So i proceeded to FC4. I bought different kinds of lunches. After lunch, Boss wife gave out survey forms and told everyone to rate my choice of food. Overall was 100pts, i got 89pts. Quite high, but the highest the intern got was 94pts. Man... Another six points and i could have beaten his highscore. The next trip will be my partner. Hope he does better than me.

How do you actually start anew?? What is the actual meaning of starting anew? Today i realise that starting anew is not just starting a new year. It means starting all over again. Doing things that you usually do another way. By doing so, you actually find new points to learn and more experience in life. By looking things at another angle, you find that it is totally new to you. Do not try to aim high-level tasks or daunting stuff. A simple change of hand of brushing your teeth everyday is something you can try. Trsut me, using the other hand to brush makes you feel like giving up on brushing teeth. But if you continue to do it for a period of time, im sure at some point you would want to try brushing your teeth with two brushes instead of one. Try something, take the risk and go for it.

Risk it all...

The Eve of all Eves

Today was rather a tiring day for me. Tomorrow i predict will be a crazy day as Boss did not give me half-day!!! Tomorrow will also mark the end of my testing and the evaluation of the software i have been trying and testing. Lots of documentation to do too. I think i will give it to my partner to complete it while i finish up the documents that i need to ammend. It is alot and i hate to do it. Sometimes i do not understand... The Boss wants us to have things to do, but please give us something that will let us learn. Moving tables?? Drawing up floor plan?? Spring clean the entire office?? Today i even plan out the telephone wiring and the telephone points. Man... I do not think i am paid enough to do such chores. Even the part-timers do not do that much. The only thing i learn now is the new software. Even though the time given is short, but i still got the chance to learn something. I hope that tomorrow will be a better day. The last day of the year, hope everything will turn out fine.

This year is a year full of surprises... I got my ups and downs. It is because i did some things that caused me to have some things today. What i usually believe in is this theory, cause and effect. It is because of the club, i have made so many friends and found my organising skills back. It is because of friends from this club, i have enjoyed this year more than the previous one. It is because of my deciions that made me felt this way. I have felt like this and this sense of belonging last time. There was once i lost it and felt so homeless, so lonely. But now... I realise that i have found my second home. To me, having one home is never enough. To me, a home for family and a home for friends is what i need. To all my friends and family out there... Let us carry our hopes and happiness to the New Year and forget all the troubles we have for this year.

Time to Party...

Can this be complained...

Boss just gave me a tantamount task. Ask me to plan the telephone wires and sockets for the company, out of the job scope again... He wanted two new lines and Boss Wife did not plan out nicely. So i have to take over. The telephone company workers are here and no plans is out. Have to think of a plan at the spot and quick. After 30mins, i draft a floor plan and let Boss take a look. He discuss with me and made some ammendments. Now i am holding the final draft of the telephone floor plan. I have to wait for my lunch to be bought back as i have to wait for the workers to come back from their lunch. Man... I have not eaten lunch and i have to wait for people that have eaten lunch, ready to do work. Hope that the worker comes before my lunch comes, so they will not disturb me.

2 More Days...

Everyday at work, the boss will ask me to do things that are out of my project scope. Even out of my education scope. I shall briefly explain later. I woke up late in the morning and i had to rush everything. Well, not my first time so it was a rather 'calm' rush. I took everything and got everything done correctly. I arrived at the office on time. Man... What a close shave. I don't know what will happen if i arrive late to work one day. But i sure do not want to know it soon. So as usual, i had to read up and test the new software the company is implementing. The software had alot of problems. Even though it is a Microsoft product, it is still alot of unsolved problems. As an Administrator, i cannot do alot of things. There are alot of things that is said on the website which my partner and i tried and could never get it work. So i heck care and my partner also kind of heck care about it. We even had to sit through an 1 hr web broadcast lesson on how to use the useless software!! It is so boring, feels like im in the lecture theatre listening to the lecturer. Well... After lunch was better... Boss came up to me and told us to stop work on the software. He told us about the new table plan and ask us to deploy it at that momment. We had to squeeze in with four of the permanent staff. Boss say, so all six of us had nothing to say. Now we have to just accept our fate. It is a very tight squeeze... I even had to test two old computers. I guess the computers were as old as me. It was really a headache to test the computers as i had no experience in old computers. Do i look like i operate on old computers?? So i just carried those heavy PCs, set tem up and tested them. In the end, the newest of the old PCs are all spoilt. What a waste of time... Ended work soon after and got home to sleep as i was too tired.

Another year will be over soon after. A new year will step into our lives soon. Somethings we should plan is what will we accomplish next year? There are alot on my mind going now. One of them is completing my tertiary education and get my Diploma. After that, i will shave my head and serve the nation. During that time, i may miss out on a birthday or two, but i promise them... I will get them a big gift each to compensate my absence. A few months down the road and i will get my key to freedom. I do not know how big that event will be but i know it will be the biggest event i will ever hold in my life. After that, i will celebrate a festival that is celebrated not long ago. Hope i can have it like this year. Hope that every year would be like this year. And a few days more, it will be another year. Well... From what i summarise next year. I forsee that its a good year. Always a good year when you have just finished one. Now for a New Year's wish... I wish that my friends and family would be happy and healthy, everyone not to have financial problems and lastly... A year without disasters or mass deaths.

Happy New Year...

The Aftermath

Today was so damn tired. I slept less than six hours. The mind was a total blank when i woke up. Than something hit me really hard. Something non-materialistic. I remembered that today is staff meeting day. I must be 15mins earlier than usual!! ARGHZ!!! So everything was rushed. Clothing, just grab and go. When i was quite near the bus terminal, the bus i was suppose to take left. Right infront of my eyes, it left. I felt that the bus gave me a smirk before leaving. MAN!!! IM GOING TO BE LATE!!! So i hailed a cab and went down to office as fast as possible. To my surprise, i arrive earlier than most of the employees there. Wasted my six bucks. So i attended the meeting and went on with the day. Near the end of the day, with 10mins left to end work time... Boss came over and asked me to do a table plan for the company. He is buying three tables and wants me to adjust the seating plan. Why can't the bos just le me go home?? Ask me do the floor plan... Do i look like an interior design student?? Im an IT student for god's sake... Last week ask me repair lights, this wk ask me do floor plan. Next wk?? I cannot imagine what the Boss will ask me to do next. Clean the company windows?? Fix kettle?? Polish his shoes?? ARGHZ!!!!! Oh, and i started doing something educational. Im beginning to learn a new software.

It was a very sadening Christmas this year. Last week i just told about the King who killed all the babies as he is afraid that the baby would take over him. The slaughter of the innocents... This year the slaughter of the innocents came through. It came, it killed all of them and it left silently. The earthquake that caused so much death and so many missing in South East Asia left everyone shocked. What an enormous earthquake and it killed so many people. Furthermore, we had just celebrated Christmas. Is that a sign or is it just another normal natural disaster? I would not say much... I feel that the lives taken by natural disasters are really sad. Normal people like you and me are taken the right to live in just a few seconds. I suggest that we give thanks to our fortunate lives and say a prayer for the victims, both direct and indirect, that have suffered in the quake.

Bless the dead...

Eve of Christmas Eve

The Eve of Christmas Eve... Some people find it special, some people just take it as another day. For me, its just another day at work. I went to work with a feeling that i should not work tomorrow. It made me feel that Christmas comes earlier than it should. Maybe it is just me... At work, i had to do the most boring office job; Data Entry. I had to sit there for four hours to type data into the computer. Well... Somebody is going to do it. But why me... Why must it be poor me... Since Boss said must be me do, than i had to do it. At some point i almost fell asleep. When all the data entry had been done, my mind is totally exhausted. After that, the lights went out. Not all of them, but three lamps. Boss called me to take the ladder and check on the lights. WHAT?!?! DO I LOOK LIKE A STUDENT FROM EEE??? Since it is orders from the Boss, what can you say?? So i went up and did the lights. After some twitching and stuff, the lights worked again. Boss wife said i have magical fingers. Im like... Huh... Ended work at the same time. So my partner and i went to take the only bus out of the place. We waited for like 15mins. No bus came. Out of nowhere, came this mini-bus. A private mini-bus. The bus stopped infront of us and asked if we wanted a lift. A trip to the train station will cost us 50 cents. A quick trip to the train station at only 50 cents. I don't mind!! We took the claustrophobic bus and squeezed in. I wonder... Each trip to the train station, the driver will earn $6. I wonder how many trips can he make in a day. 10 trips a day would earn him $60. No matter how you see it, it is still quite profitable. After arriving at the train station, i crossed the overhead bridge and took a bus home.

Every Christmas, there would be a Christmas story. Every year the Christmas story would be different. This year, the one i read about was the birth of Jesus Christ that made Christmas... Well, Christmas. It is recorded that when the birth of Jesus, came 3 wise men or wise kings. They knew that a newborn king will lead humankind to freedom. They travelled long and far, days and nights. When they arrived, they each brought gifts to give to the new lord. But in the area where Jesus was born, a greedy king rule over the lands. He heard about the three wise mens coming and also their gifts for a new king. So he invited them over before they met Jesus. He thought that this new 'king' would fight for power over the land and take over him. So he told them to lead him to the new 'king' if they ever find them. But after three days, they never returned. The King was angry and frustrated. So he set out his army to the city and kill every newborn or few days old babies. Luckily, Jesus was informed by an angel. They fled before the troops came to slaughter everyone. This is the day where we call it the 'Slaughter of the Innocents'. An extremely sad day just a few days later of the Lord's arrival.

Merry Christmas Eve...

1 day to Eve, 2 days to Christmas

The year has ended and its the time to celebrate and enjoy. A time of giving and a time of sharing. This is the Christmas spirit. For the past 19 Christmases, i am having holidays so it did felt like Christmas. But now... I am working and the feeling is not there. I even had to ask for a half day during eve. I guess boss is the kind that fully untilise the 5-day week. Now he kept giving those jobs where most of the staff hate to do. Im like the odd job worker, not an intern there. It is damn funny... The company will be having Christmas lunch in the office. The best part about this is... It is not a buffer, it is not a a-la-carte dinner. It is packed lunch. Packed lunch from a caterer... I heard it and im like totally stunned. What the hell... What kind of Christmas lunch is that?? Just eating lunch together is the celebretion?? Maybe the worse has yet to come...

The Christmas spirit... It is the topic on today's radio show. They feel that Singaporeans have lost the spirit and change the meaning totally. They said that the Christmas spirit is about shopping and going Orchard to spend money. I think it is not the truth. Those that are shopping are mostly buying gifts for friends and family. It is no wonder that the city area is extremely packed. Some times the buying of gifts are for the less fortunate. I suppose giving them is the greatest example of showing the true Christmas spirit.

Merry Christmas everyone...

Daytime in Davidson Business Systems

Just finished lunch with a few more minutes to spare, so i decided to make a secret entry in my blog during office hours. Till date, i have not learnt anything useful for the future. All i know is i have to wear formal to work and get ready to do manual work for the boss. 'Move this to here' or 'Do this by (insert time)'. These are the sentences i get everyday. Well... I guess they must be wanting me to learn something from all the jobs they give me. Anyway, the boss sometimes is friendly. You can say he has split personality. But i guess i like the strict one better... As the friendly boss is bit...... Eh... Too friendly i guess...

One Week has passed

One week has passed and i have only 15 weeks more to endure. Today was really a boring day. Boss was around most of the time, so i had to do things a little more productive. Well, i must say i put a very nice show today. He gave me the most boring job of all. I had to amend the alignments and header of 50 plus forms. All on word document. I'm like staring at the screen for more than three hours non-stop. Man, I was so afraid that it might kill my eyes!! Well, my seat faced one of office's windows. Once awhile i took some time off and stared at far away objects. What made it worse was my window is actually facing the Singtel building that is located just next to it!! It made me think of school and my friends... What a saddening momment for me... I also took physical breaks in between. Go toilet more often, drank more water and refill more often. Today is even worse... My partner was given a outdoor task! Man, he left the office at 2 plus. He was out sending corporate gifts to other clients of the company. I envy him. Able to leave the hell hole and go out enjoy the scenery. How i wished it was me who was outside giving the gifts. But as soon as evening approaches... I wasted time by going to the toilet slowly, took my cup and wash it in the pantry slowly. When it was time to leave, i pack my stuff, grab my bags and leave the hell hole totally. I met up with my ex-VP. I was really tired but how can i miss a dinner with her. So i went on and met her for dinner. We ordered a couple meal. Haha... In the end, it was like me eatin the couple meal and her eating the side dishes... After that, she got herself dessert by eating frozen yoghurt. We walked about while she slowly finishes her dessert. I can see that she is enjoying it with glee as she gobble down so fast that it freezes her mouth. I think its also due to the dessert that made her hiccup while i sent her home. Seeing her arrive safely at her home lift lobby and watching her go up, it gave me peace that she is home without a scratch. I headed my way to the busstop and took the long journey like i use to towards home.

I read an article about our language used by our children of Singapore. Some said that we should have a good grasp of the English language. While others supported aggressively on the importance of the Mother Tongue language. But i am wondering, we are Singaporeans. We are the multi-racial country that other countries admire. It is definitely we have our own culture of language. I totally support that. So if we are jacks of all language, but master at none. I personally feel that it is a good thing. Once awhile we may get mis-communications and mis-pronounciation. But what communication's goal is to get the message across. As long the message gets across to the desired party, it doesn't matter if the language spoken is not understandable by both parties.

Speak your language...

Microsoft Seminar

Today i attended my company's Microsoft(MS) Seminar. Man... It was a big event, i was not one of the important people so i did not know most people. I do not know who is our competitors, who are the MS people and who are the attendees. My duty is to give out free gifts to attendees. But how i know who is who?? In the end, i just gave out to who i see... Also, Boss have printed namecards for me. I took a small stack and went around giving my namecard to people. I do not care who is it but just give the namecards out. In the end, i like gave out almost 10 plus cards. Now what i am afraid is that clients will call and find me. By then, i do not know what to say... Think i will know what to say, what to do by then... I woke up damn early for the event and was totally tire out. We went back to office and continued to work. Boss did not give half day off to us. Man, i woke up at 6am to arrive at the place on time!!! I think that is why he is the boss and i am the intern. After work, i went to find my ex-VP. We had dinner together. We chatted and talked about everything. I sent her home as it was late. We ate near her home but it was dark and i could never let a girl walk home alone at night. So i sent her to her lift and said our goodbyes. I learnt this phrase in a camp when the camp chief closed the camp, 'Goodbyes are such sweet sorrows.' I believe i felt it all over again at that momment...

School: ITP is a good way for students to learn the working life outside. They will experience what is the working life and find that it is a tough world outside.

Me: ITP is a good way to see cheap labour. Companies get interns to do all kind of crap and pay them the minimum sum given by the school. So we find out that the real world treat interns as if they are paid to work but at a cheaper price.

My comments on my ITP till now. Maybe it will change, maybe it will not. But all i know is... Will my ITP change my thoughts and views about the Microsoft company?

Personal views noted...

2nd Day

Day two of torture. Nothing much was done, nothing much was learnt. I learnt that printing labels can be really troublesome. Aligning and test print, i like took 1hr to adjust the stupid thing. After that i still had to trim the labels. I practically spend the whole day using a razor and ruler to cut the labels up. In the morning, my partner and i both took tests. The company had these tests to determine your IT knowledge and stuff. In the end, none of the tests we passed. I expect my partner to do better than me, but he failed all of them too. Guess we are both on the same boat. There are still somemore tests for me to take. It is so dead boring, almost fell asleep doing the tests. But the office had some biscuits so i took a packet and ate while doing the tests. Perk me up a little to finish the tests. The tests are not what you learn in Poly. Those tests ask questions that are posed for the professionals. Maybe the company think too highly of the both of us. We left the company late and i joined my sis for dinner. She accompanied me to buy clothing required for Thursday. I got what i wanted but i ran out of cash and she did not bring her card out. So i had to reserve it and got my Aunt to pick it up tommorrow. Guess i owe her one. After that, i ate dinner at one of the stalls in Takashimaya. At first i wanted to eat fish & chips. But the store is fully occupied. All the customers were just arrived and just started eating. In the end, i just settled my dinner at some Japanese stall. I ate and chatted with my sis. It has been a long time since i met up with her. I can see that she is fine and healthy. Hope she stay this way all the time. After dinner, we walked across this fun fair to take bus. I joked to her that she can go up on the bouncy castle as she is below the acceptable height of 1.6m. She laughed and laughed. As we walked about, we talk about everything. At the busstop, i decided to send her home. Its pretty late and to let a pretty lady walk home alone is definitely not me. Especially she is my sister. After seeing her arrive safely at home, i embarked on my journey home. Sis home is just 1hr away from mine.

Life is beginning to feel boring. 3-4 days ago, i felt that going to work or going for my ITP should be fun. It should be different from studying in the Poly. I was right and wrong. Nothing much was learned while there. Difference is definitely felt. Instead of jeans and tee, im wearing long-sleeves and straight pants with leather shoes. I report to work 9am sharp instead of always going to lesson late. I had to eat faster than usual. I had to report whatever i do to someone. It is like im a cheap labour in a high earning company. I can see that the boss is very rich and he can afford high class stuff. Maybe that is why he is so successful now. Hope one day i can be like him and become rich. But he is not my role model, my role model would always be my Dad. He will be my life model. I will learn what is right from him and use his faults to learn mistakes. One thing that i must crack before anything bad happens to him... How did a primary 4 dropout married a degree holder???

Learning everything possible...

ITP Starts...

Today marks my first day in ITP. I have officially started my ITP. Man, woke up at 7am. The sky was still kind of dark here... I did things a little faster than usual and i ended up arriving at the company earlier than expected. I met up with my ITP partner, first impression was that he take the office job a little too serious. What's with the tie and blazer?? I almost broke out laughing. But i held back. The office staff let us in and introduce themselves to us. The whole office is made up of a couple of consultants, marketing and executives. Led by a very smart couple. One word to describe the entire office; strict. Lady boss was really strict, she is really adamant about what she wants and what she means. The boss is a very anology guy. He likes to use military stuff and action stuff to describe the situation to everyone. Every Monday will be meeting day, durin the meeting today, he came out with something of a military vehicle and stuff. Makes me think of Metal Gear Solid. The whole day in the office was rather bland. We did nothing much. The entire morning was orientation and some office skills training. I still not used to the printer. Guess i will make it a point to win over the printer. Now the office is gearing up for a seminar this coming Thursday. When i am on my way home, one of the staff called me and told me about the attire on Thursday. Blazer, white shirt, spotted tie, black pants and black leather shoes. Man... That looks so much like some gangster attending another gang's funeral. That leave me no choice but to get what is required.

A day has passed and it have left some nice feeling on me. I feel that the honeymoon time is ending. As soon as i step onto Thursday, i can start to accept crazy stuff. Im trying my best to adapt into the company and learn whatever they are willing to teach me. I do hope i can make the best out of this four months. My ITP partner is doing his best to do what he can. I have not seen his true power yet, a few weeks more and maybe his knowledge of IT will be passed over to me. Hope the company pay me a little more than what the last intern get. I have alot of bills to pay!!

Final Three Days...

Time has come... It has finally come. My ITP nightmare is starting to begin... Time to prepare for the final stage of my life as a Polytechnic student. The company gave my Liason Officer(LO) a couple of things to note before i went start my ITP. For example... I have to work on certain saturdays. Maybe that will mean alternate saturdays. What the heck... I have to work on these saturdays... And they are really under paying me. Sometimes i do wonder, why do they call it internship? More like getting cheap labour to work in the company. It is another pair of hands but paying lesser. Well enough of that... Today was rather a simple day, nothing exciting was done. Morning i had the ITP briefing followed by a photo-taking session for the yearbook. Later i joined my juniors for lunch. We chatted and joked around. It was really enjoyable. After that, they went back to the club to clean the stuff and sort the things they used during camp. I did not stay as i want them to interact with the year 1s more. I met up with my ex-VP and we went shopping. I wanted to watch a movie as it was a long time ago since we watched one together. After movie, we went for more shopping. We kind of wasted so much time walking about stores that does not intrest her at all. In the end, we rested by having something to drink and a couple of snacks. Actually all i wanted was to dump some rubbish after our snack time, but something caught her eye. A jacket from Fox:Women. She tested one of them but shop ran out of her size. We went over to another shopping centre to look for the same item, but it was also out of stock. At the 2nd shop, they were playing a song; Blue - Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word. She could not get what she wanted so she sang along with the song!! After that, we went to a store and she bought a cute bag. It looks to me like a grocery shopping bag but to her another bag to put stuff. She paid for it and we went back home. I sent her home personally as she was not feeling well. After that, i went home and bought some instant noodles on the way home. Man, it was really good. I ate two packets while my brother ate one. Really spicy really delicious...

Updates! Updates!! UPDATES!!!

Does this consider an update?? It is just a few days only. Im like just blog not long ago and im blogging again. Sounds like good news ya? But not actually... Nothing much happened these few days. Yesterday i went driving, the results were rather bad. Got quite a scolding from my instructor. I was a little nervous and stuff so i did badly for it. Especially parking, i can't park a car. Man, i really sucked at parking a car. I think the near future, car mechanics must invent a kind of device in cars where the car will auto park for you. Then... Then the parking system for the world will be a better place. Haha... Must be dreaming too much le. A few hours later i am going for my driving revisions... I do hope i can get a test date as soon as possible. One more day and it will be SAT day. Praying hard that i will do well and my ex-VP will do well too.

Pray for us...
